haha when I posted on GBCN Sunday disappointed with my mature egg numbers, one poster said "Hey, if it makes you feel better, I only had one fertilized egg and he is really getting on my nerves today." I laughed really hard.
This process is fascinating, isn't it?! It's scary to think that if we didn't live in this time, J and I might not have kids at all. Hoping for our miracle science baby!
We're going out to dinner tonight (I wanted something good to celebrate being done with stims, etc. but didn't want to risk going out tomorrow and having an upset stomach from anything on Thursday transfer date), and I think I may just treat myself to what I hope will be my last glass of wine for a VERY long time!
I thought about this a lot as I was approaching/passing my due date. All the ways we have now of just getting the baby OUT that we didn't have before. Everyone kept telling me "don't worry, the baby will come out eventually; all babies do!" and I thought no, no they haven't always. People just used to DIE in childbirth with giant headed babies stuck inside them, or their babies died of sepsis, or whatever. You're definitely in the right place at the right time. Miracle Science Baby 3000 will be here safe and sound before you know it (keeping you up at night, ruining all your clothes, and generally annoying the crap out of you in the best possible way). Science is great. And it is crazy how things would be so different for a lot of us just 50 years ago when it comes to pregnancy/fertility.

One more daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Would it be weird if I cried when you have your transfer? Because I am probably going to, but I won't tell you if it's creepy. WHY ISN'T IT TOMORROW YET? NO I LOVE IT.
I also plan to cry. J told me that I can't cry too hard because I have to stay calm so the baby will want to stay in there. haha

The first time I came in, they told us beta would be about two weeks after transfer. TWO WEEKS?! The nurse that did our talk said they don't recommend "cheating" because HPT might not give an accurate result, and the trigger shot can result in a false positive.
She must like us now (we've seen her several times since and she was the nurse on duty for my retrieval Saturday), because when she wheeled me out to the car after, she made mention of "...But you can totally cheat so we can know earlier." haha. I have to ask when I can reasonably cheat and the result is more likely than not to be accurate. I'm hoping next weekend at the latest!!!

Yeah right, you're gonna test every day. :-p I'm too scared of a potential false positive. The internet said wait at least 4 days, but I'll probably tough it out for at least a week!

You know I'm not the go-to for sanity. You might need to lock yourself in a cabin on top of a mountain where there are only actual wooden sticks to pee on. And internet, of course. I think I might throw all of my wondfos in the garbage and not buy any additional tests until at least Wednesday after work. Can't pee on anything that's not in the house! Well, I could pee on everything in the house, but none of it will tell me if I'm pregnant.

Have J hide then really, really well and make him promise not to get them until a certain date. a scavenger hunt for you to find them.FTFY

Have J hide then really, really well and make him promise not to get them until a certain date. Freeze them in a giant block of ice. Bury them in a time capsule. Its cold enough here that all he would have to do is put them outside. He might want to put them in the freezer by friday due to it getting upto 32 degrees.

I'm 3 days late but took a test yesterday and got a BFN. Every time I pee and there's nothing, I feel like Mother Nature is mocking me. That bitch.
