We had a work dinner an yankee swap. I like to think I won! The guy I stole it from thought it was about the war LOL. He would have been v. Disappointed

The sauce is a total loss. Damnit. I strained it into a jar and figured I'd taste it in the morning. Its so solid I can turn the jar upside down and it doesn't move. I made it to use up a bottle of red wine I opened for cooking, so I doubt I'll be making another batch. I'm not a red wine person - I only had the bottle because it was a gift. So did you make wine jelly instead of wine sauce? Because that's pretty damn useful in itself. Give it with some crackers and cheese and voila, gift saved. Possible. I haven't tasted it. I was afraid I scorched it. It's still in the fridge, I'll try it later. It was too low in the jar for me to stick a finger in it lol.
