Hey guys,
Just wanted to introduce myself... I'm Rachel, long-time lurker on TheKnot, and glad to be here. I was actually thinking about leaving TheKnot anyway, and this made the perfect excuse.
I'm a newlywed (about a month and a half) who's wedding was infinitely improved by the no-nonsense "regs" (now former regs, at TheKnot), and am grateful/interested/curious enough to follow you guys over! Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Hiya Rachel! Hope you are enjoying married life! Did you ever post on TK (did you have a different SN there?) or just lurk? What was your wedding like?

Hey Ladies! I did post a few times on the knot, but I actually incorporated my married last name into my username, so I'm going to keep it quiet. I know, embarrassing--it actually happened when we changed our date for the wedding, and I couldn't figure out how to get my countdown/planning time changed on the knot. I just ended up saying fuck it and making a new account with DH's email, and randomly used his last name as my SN, since I had no intention of ever getting sucked into the awesomeness that is message boards. Joke is on me! My wedding was perfect, in my eyes--very classic, tuxes, beaded dress, chapel, candles. I'm trying to figure out how to put a picture in my signature, but all of my pictures are too big of files and I'm tech-challenged--thoughts?

Oh, since I forgot to answer this--my knot posts were completely boring, I didn't throw a PPD or anything, so I doubt you'd recognize my name anyway. I mostly stuck to the etiquette board (at one point I was considering no dinner at 7:30pm. Lurking taught me a lot, lol).

Check out the Sig Pics thread Liatris started. Basically the image needs to be hosted online somewhere (your wedding website would be a good place, if you have one). Enter code {img} paste url here {/img} in the Signature section of your Profile. If you need to resize, change the first tag to {img width = 300} and raise or lower that number if necessary. Replace {} with [] in your code, btw. I can't post them correctly here or it thinks I'm trying to embed an image...

I had to play around with the sizing of my sig pic in tinypics a bit before getting it right. It's been a while since I've done it, since I copied the code from a different ProBoards account I have, so I'm sorry that I'm not more helpful.

Thanks guys! I'll have to mess with it some more--I don't really have any photos online except facebook, not sure if I can get them off of there... oh well, we shall see. Hopefully I'll get them up soon, I've loved looking at everyone else's pictures throughout planning. Lots of beautiful and very individual weddings!
