1. How far along are you?
about 8w 5 d
2. Rants/vents/ good things?
had a follow up ultrasound to check on the blood clot and of course the baby. baby is measuring right on the money, which is the most important thing. I have to wait for my doc to get the results and call me on this part, but i think the hemorrhage has gotten bigger, which means I may have to go to MFM as high risk. I was hoping to avoid that, but it's not the end of the world if baby is doing okay.
3. Any cravings?
ugh, no. nothing ever sounds to me. i have to force myself to eat sometimes just so i don't get super nauseous, even if it doesn't sound good.

1. How far along are you? 29 weeks 5 days
2. Rants/vents/ good things? I found out the hard way that the meds I've been on for the HG are actually doing something. Had a HORRIBLE day recently when I ran out of one of my scripts.
3. Any cravings? No. I'm finding myself eating more salads because that's the only thing that sounds good. Obviously I've had to cut back on the hummus *grump*. But nothing is really a craving.
Random:
How do you feel about "new mom" parking spots closer to the door at some stores? Have you ever used them?
Fuck yeah I've used them. The grocery store has preggo woman parking and the mall has "family parking", meaning for pregnant women and/or those with small children. I'm tired and I hurt all over. I'm gonna do what I need to do.

I'm sooooo sick of having to pee all the time. I never had this issue when pregnant with DD. I carried her really high, and she was head down basically from conception. Even when she "dropped" she left my bladder alone. BB2 is really low and he apparently likes to use my bladder as a trampoline. I go to the bathroom and by the time I come out I feel like I have to go again. I'm hoping he'll turn head down soon and then maybe he'll leave it alone. Maybe?

1. 15w, 2d. 2. OMG the heartburn. And the cough seems to be getting worse, so I wonder if the acid has a hand in that. I think this kid is a werewolf, if the old wive's tales about hair are to be believed (and I read they are). Belly is starting to be more baby and less cheese, which is great. Funny - I grew back out of maternity pants. I was wearing just the low belly ones from Old Navy (LOVE THEM) or the elastic band around the button trick, but now the baby has moved up high enough that I can button my jeans again! 3. Biggest craving for Chinese food the other day. Got a huge takeout order which of course I ate like 6 bites of before feeling full. H ATE MY LEFTOVERS. So I ate all his jelly beans. Vegetables are still a no go though. I still generally eat like a picky toddler - bagels, mac and cheese, applesauce. Random: I think they're a great gesture. This was me with DD. I think carrying her up so high put pressure on my stomach so I got full really fast. Also, I had terrible reflux.

@lolo You should check into getting a prescription. Insurance covered my nexium so it saved us a TON of money. And I agree with CheesePlease- it was definitely one of the worst parts of my pregnancy. On the bright side, C was born with a head full of hair and it went away immediately after birth. I'm with soul. Bump shots please! WTF, Nexium wasn't on my list of "approved" medications to even take. I swear half this shit is made up. So frustrating. I have an appointment today but it's not with my regular doc, and I don't know how I feel about discussing new plans of action with someone totally new. (mine was booked solid all week, and she wanted a pelvic u/s this week to make sure my cervix is still cool cuz of my LEEP a few years ago. I have to cycle through all the other docs eventually anyway.) I'll see the regular one on May 1 so I'll ask her if the Prilosec hasn't worked. I take Pepcid. I don't get heartburn, but my HG causes me to not tolerate pretty much any stomach acid. If I have too much stomach acid it's vomit city for me. I've been on it daily since I was 8-9 weeks pregnant and BB2 seems to be doing just fine.

It's funny, now that I think about it, I never had heartburn with DD, just reflux, and she was born mostly bald. I haven't had heartburn this time around so I guess I'm looking at another bald baby. Finally one of the old wive's tales seems to be true.

I've been on it daily since I was 8-9 weeks pregnant and BB2 seems to be doing just fine. IIRC, all she had on the "safe medications" list was Maalox, Mylanta, Tums, and Prilosec OTC, so all I've been taking is Tums. I'll try Pepcid. (TMI WARNING) I've had a problem with food reflux for years... like hours after I eat, actual food gets regurgitated up, totally undigested. Various docs suggested various GERD meds for it but nothing helped. Some people thought I didn't have ENOUGH stomach acid so that's why food wasn't getting digested, but I've always had heartburn too. It's so much worse being pregnant though. That was actually why H thought he could eat all my Chinese food - "you said it made you throw up! I thought you didn't want it anymore!" Babe if I stopped eating everything that ever made me upchuck, I'd have starved to death years ago. did you cry about the chinese food? i legitimately would have. i almost flipped out on h last night because we were driving and not close enough to fast food to get it in my belly NOW. i am a delight.

1. How far along are you? 30w2d 2. Rants/vents/ good things? Both of my baby showers were last week and they were wonderful! I had soo much fun at my baby shower with my friends and family :-) An AW pic of the insane food table and then a bump pic for your pleasure... 3. Any cravings? Nothing out of the ordinary. I have been eating cereal a lot more often though...but I mean cereal is always delicious! Random: How do you feel about "new mom" parking spots closer to the door at some stores? Have you ever used them? Funny, I was just talking to my coworker about them this morning. I've only seen them at Babies'R'Us and BuyBuyBaby. We used one for the first time at BRU yesterday. My coworker said that they have them at our mall though too. They're cool...not necessary IMO though. I have plenty of energy to walk the distance from wherever we're parked to the front door.

@jennylee Happy Birthday Week! ktmac Glad to hear baby is looking good, sorry about the SCH though! I remember a lot of girls posting about having them on my BMB during our first tri though and from what I remember, as long as baby is good then you shouldn't have to worry.

@lolo How annoying! I usually forget that I have to give a urine sample every time I go in and pee right before I leave to go to the doctor, so my samples are always tiny!

I haven't been able to give a urine sample at my last two appointments. The nurses have threatened to jump up and down on my bladder at my next appointment. I think BB2 will take care of that.

@lolo I brought a bottle of non-alc wine to try to one H's family parties back in January and other people kept accidentally drinking it even though we set it aside from the real stuff. It was pretty funny when they realized what they were drinking. I don't know how it could fool anyone because it tasted just like grape juice.

@jennylee ven Thanks guys We actually bought the sofa from someone on craigslist to use for pictures for our wedding and I used it for boudoir pictures and took some beautiful pics of one of my BFFs on it on her wedding day (we got ready at my house). I'm planning to take monthly pictures of Baby G on it for her first year.
