I have been having intermittent pelvic girdle pain since early in the second tri. Right where my legs connect to my pelvic bone, but not constant. More like after I swim or something.
Last night I was not having pain, so I didn't think twice about kicking a ball at SDs soccer game. Afterwards I couldn't even walk. So, so stupid. I didn't even think twice about it.
So today I had to drive down to my OB (per their recommendation that I come in), got stuck behind an accident on the way and it took an hour and a half to get there. Thankfully I didn't do any major damage. But I got a script for a muscle relaxer and instructions to ice. BRRRR
I'm nervous about taking a muscle relaxer. I haven't taken any meds since I found out I was pregnant. Am I being neurotic? My OB confirmed they were fine
Kids, don't do what I did. It hurts to do everything. Stand, roll over in bed, walk. UGH.

Oh man that's awful. I had that too and there were times I couldn't make it up the stairs. If my OB had given me muscle relaxers I would've taken them in a heartbeat. That said, I completely understand if you choose not to. Do what feels right.

Thanks ladies. I am feeling noticably better today, so I think I'm going to skip the Rx.
I do trust my OB that it's safe, but I have read that some women who had taken it while pregnant noticed decreased fetal movement, which makes sense, and I think that alone would freak me out. A lot.
So it still hurts, but i am actually able to walk so we are on the right track, med-free.
Thanks again!

I've had this since maybe week 10? It went away at week 14 when I came off the progesterone but came back again at week 16 and is still hanging around now. It isn't nearly as severe as what you are dealing with - but at times it HURTS. Mine isn't where my leg bones are - it is the joint right in the very front of the pelvis and then 180 degrees in the very BACK of my pelvis/lowest part of my back. Sometimes when I move a certain way, the pain feels like someone is trying to split my pelvis in half or something. Not a fun feeling.
I've found that soaking in a luke warm bath helps. Also I sleep with a pillow between my legs and have been doing some gentle yoga stretches - seems to help some.
Gentle hugs. It definitely isn't fun.
