1. 12w2d. 2. Just cannot wait until the 1st tri is over. The worrying of the 1 in 3 chance of losing this one is hard but will be over after the 2nd tri starts. I started to wear maternity pants since they are stretchy and can work with my stitches (1st day back at work and I don't think they woild like my pj pants or yoga pants). I keep thinking they will fall off since there is no loops for a belt. I am so used to wearing a belt loop. Plus maternity pants are pricy. $35 was the cheapest I found for places near me. I am used to paying $20 for pants but I ordered some on old navy.com so I hope those work out since those were better priced. 3. Nope. Dh has been going through his parents attic (they want it cleaned out and it is a mess) and he has brought home a book, some toys, and reptile decor. (Yeah the theme is reptiles)
Random: I have no clue. I am not planning anything for at least two weeks. Sorry for the debbie downer. If I do anything it will be something very cheap. Or if anyone crafty wants to make me and ship it here I promise to wear it.

snippet17 not a downer at all. How are you feeling otherwise? Yay for 5 days til second tri! I don't feel too bad. First day back to work was tiring. I was falling asleep at 730 but now I am not tired. 1 week and 5 days until the 2nd tri. It doesn't start until week 14. So its close.

1. How far along are you? 28+2 today! Moving right along
2. Rants/vents/AWs?
Yesterday was such an up and down day - thankfully it turned out way more uo than down. I had an appt with MFM to see if my placenta had moved up since my anatomy scan. As I was walking out the door, my OB called to tell me I failed my GTT test :-( It was so discouraging. That test made me feel awful and the thought of the three hour test is just, ugh. I must be naive about this bc I associated a failed test with gaining weight too quickly, which I'm not. Jokes on me! Oh and I failed spectacularly so I am just going to try to start changing my diet bc I feel that another failure is inevitable.
Thankfully, my MFM appt went so, so perfectly. Baby boy is measuring right in the 53rd percentile so far, and is healthy as can be. And my placenta did move up! I brought my mom with me bc H is back to school and she had never seen an OB ultrasound before. It was hilarious. The tech even flipped to 3D just for fun and we got a little picture of his face and one of him sucking his thumb!!
3. Doing any particular nesting/planning right now?
Waiting for the baseboards to go into the nursery and then we should be able to finish! I am going to do my best to have a productive week with other general projects and cleaning in the meantime.
Random: if you'll be pregnant over Halloween, are you planning any bump-specific costume? Or do you have one planned for the bebe yet?
I will be super pregnant, but we don't do Halloween

ktmac Just because you failed the 1 hour doesn't mean you will fail the 3 hour. Don't beat yourself up. If you do have GD, there are a bunch of us here who have been through it. You'll have plenty of support over here! Thanks :-) My 1 hr results were just so high. I was able to get in to so the 3 hour tomorrow morning so we shall see.

ktmac - good luck on your 3 hour test. The pricking yourself test is the way I prefer to go. I just need to find out if my doctors are okay with it and the amount the insurance doesn't pay would go toward my enhanced deductible (after my bills from the hospital comes in I should hit my max on the enhanced deductible)

I am having issues drinking water lately. I usually drink 4 bottles a day. So far this week I am lucky to drink 2. Maybe I should start drinling some zero cal vitamin water to at least trick my stomach. I am blaming the pregnancy since I never had this issue before. I even switched brands of water to see if that would make a difference.
I have no issues with juice but I prefer to stay away and not drink a ton due do the sugar and calories.
Has anyone else had anything weird like this happen to them?

@jennylee - I never had seltzer water but I will try that out. And I forgot about the flavorings that you can add to water.
@swimmy1988 - thinking about drinking water can even bug me in the evenings so I doubt a straw will work, but I can try. Doesn't hurt to try
I may try making some lemonade and watering it down a bit.

ktmac Did you get your results yet? (maybe I missed it in another thread) Just got home from an appointment and found out I passed "with flying colors"!! WHY did I fail the 1 hour so badly? What a waste of time. But I am so thrilled to not have to worry about GD Thanks for checking in
