Yes, I keep hearing that and I'm hoping I'll be one of them! But it's also early... maybe just the calm before the storm. It hit me from about 6 weeks till 13 pretty badly. Most of my friends have either had none (LUCKY) or had roughly that same timeline. Well, 6 weeks this morning and I still feel fine. May it stay that way!! Glad you're finally feeling better sarahufl!

Not peeing an unusual amount yet... But I am super-thirsty. My blood pressure has been REALLY low the past two days, which is making me feel a bit lightheaded. So, I've been trying to drink a ton to help with that. All that liquid doesn't seem to be coming out the other side though - it's probably just making me bloated, haha! I sometimes have borderline high blood pressure (probably anxiety-related more than anything) so I have a home blood pressure cuff (because I'm all obsessive compulsive like that) and my BP this morning was 100/59.

gingerlady - if your blood pressure gets too low for your norm and feel light headed often please call your doctor. It might just be low blood sugar or something small but make sure your doctor knows. I know mine prefers it when her patients call or email about the smallest of issues or questions. My liquid in take has increased by a lot since getting pregnant before it was about 3-4 bottles of water a day and a bottle of pepsi. Now its 4-5 bottles of water (yay for it no longer making me sick), a can of pepsi, and some juice or kool aid.

Thanks for the advice guys! The lightheadedness isn't too bad. I managed a 3 mile jog yesterday evening and felt great, so I know it isn't too much of a problem. I think it's worst in the mornings. But a few big glasses of water and a salty breakfast (I ate a bunch of salted nuts) and now I feel fine. I'll let my doc know if it gets worse.

Gaaah, I'm already sick of water. I'm drinking between 68 and 75 oz per day, and man does it get boring. Still having lower tummy/abdomen blahs here and there- will be checking with my doctor at Friday apt as to what softeners and fibers are recommended for me, since I have some allergy issues.
NOTHING sounds delicious anymore. I'm a carnivore, and suddenly the thought of meat at all disgusts me. Pork is now completely out, steak (which I looooove) might be out for at least a few more weeks, chicken is iffy. I need to get some lunch and I'm tired of surviving on crackers. Thinking I'll get a taco salad at chipotle, the bean fiber should help, and with chipotle meat, I notice the spices, not the meat itself. Also having food texture issues- yogurt is ok, fruit and cheese is ok, but ground beef or meat on bone? Noooooooope.

nsweare- no bump pic because I don't yet have a bump, and the only thing I have that MIGHT be considered a bump is just mah belly fat roll, which was there beforehand :-P

nsweare- no bump pic because I don't yet have a bump, and the only thing I have that MIGHT be considered a bump is just mah belly fat roll, which was there beforehand :-P Oh, I've got one of those too! Score! Also, chipmunk, I feel like reading your posts is like looking into a crystal ball for me. So much to look forward too! Just eat what you can/want. I just had chicken soup with like 5 packets of oyster crackers for lunch, followed by a bag of potato chips. I'm starting to sense the food aversions - salt and carbs is pretty much all I've wanted the past few days. (Of course, that was sort of common for me pre-pregnancy too! But now I feel like I have an excuse.)

Update- I had crispy chicken tacos from Chipotle. Double meat, with cheese. Nothing else on them. It's all I could handle on the tacos.
Made up for the lack of any veggies on the tacos with a side of guac. That stuff was gooooood. My tummy is happy for now.
I think dinner is going to be some fresh fruit.

nsweare - my bump still looks like fat to me. I may need to have H email me the pictures some day and compare earlier weeks to later ones. Even though I want the bump I just want to hid it and wear my more flowing shirts because of my normal weight issues. chipmunk and gingerlady - first tri all I wanted was carbs even more than usual. Now I am so carbed out. chipmunk - add in some juice or kool aid. I have gotten sick of it too and added those has helped. I recently had to up my softener intact recently due to the iron pill and the new prenatal. TMI it makes my stomach feel so kuch better.

My variation from water tends to be sipping some ice cold Gatorade. That has always helped settle my stomach since I was little.
I also caved yesterday and bought a 20oz coke...to my surprise, I didn't like it. The taste was "too heavy" for me to enjoy it. I tested a theory, since DH and I have gotten fast food a few times in the past few weeks, where I invariably get a coke with the meal, and got a coke with my Chipotle today. The "watered down" coke from the fountain tasted much better to me than the bottled stuff. So maybe it's a bit of an aversion to sugar?
It's not affecting my love of chocolate though, so I haven't the foggiest idea what the heck is going on. And I've discovered that since I upped my water intake from 30ish ounces of straight water per day to nearly 70, I have to get up between 3 and 4 am to pee. Isn't that supposed to happen in the 3rd trimester, NOT the 1st?
If anyone recalls the gif of the black and white drawing of the pregnant lady laying on her back while the baby dances in the stomach, could you please send it to me via PM? My DH discovered image by image shots of it, but I can't find the gif to show him.

chipmunk - I get up a few times at night. I have reduced the amount of liquid that I drink in the evenings and don't drink an hour before bed. That has kept me from only waking up 2 times a night.

@lolo, that's the one! Thank you!
For the first time since the end of last week, I have not had the blahs within 20 minutes after getting up today. Wooo!

My mom just asks how I'm feeling in general. The few times she's tried jumping on the advice/what to expect train when unasked, I remind her that I'm perfectly capable of reading for myself, and that I'm better at internets than she is. She apologizes and shuts up. Anything specific is volunteered by me, such as telling her I was joking with DH this morning that "HIS baby was being a little shit already, making me get up in the middle of the night to pee...AGAIN." @sarahufl, want to borrow my mom for a few days?

ugh, my first tri I peed All. The. Time. Now I still pee a lot more than I did before getting pregnant, but it has subsided a bit. Seriously, before getting pregnant I would pee at night *maybe* once a YEAR. Now it is at least once a night, sometimes 2 or 3 times. And I really, really don't like it. Also, one of the first questions my MIL asked me when I told her I was pregnant was if I have to pee a lot. I was like "um, this is not a discussion we are having"Brace yourself. The conversations will only go downhill from here... Pee is one of the tamer topics. What she said.
