1. 19w3d
2. I wished my scans where sooner than Thursday. I am so exciting but scared since the "scary" one is first. But my second one will say if the baby is a boy or a girl.
I forgot to take a picture yesterday. I think I finally have a bump. :-)
Daycares and H. H for the most part is taking care of the daycares specially since he knows the home providers and that is what we prefer, but H has jot called any to put us on a waiting list. He is now in charge of ccys (child care youth services) in two counties. I don't want to get too involved since some may not accept us because of his position but I want to start to get this shit done. I feel like an asshole that I need to keep explaining that some places may not take a 6-7 week old and we need to start this shit.
3. I have a crib (too good of a sale that I had to buy it), mattress, a pack n play (got a new one for cheap on a fb group), and lots of diapers and wipes. I took advantage of the sale a few weeks ago at target where it was send 100 and get a 25 dollar gift card. Plus I had a lot of coupons since I did my target registry in the store and their nice gift bag has lots of coupons. Oh and H is lossing hia Sam's club card soon and I bought some wipes. I personally did not see the diapers being cheaper compared to target and kmart.
I also have a couple binkys and one bottle that I got for free from target bag or with the pack n play. H's sister gave us a part of socks that she forgot to give her one friend when her friend had a baby a couple years ago.

7 weeks, 2 days
I have the blahs. Nausea, but no vomiting. Lots of gas pressure, and ice water seems to help prevent me from curling into a ball so I can get some work done.
Haven't bought a thing yet- waaay too early. But my mom had previously made an "under the sea creatures" wallhanging for the eventual nursery, and we've some reed woven decorative items DH's mom made eons ago with seashells, so at least the nursery décor is taken care of. We also have the rocking chair that DH's grandparents gave his mom and dad, and which his mom rocked DH and BIL to sleep in. I want to get at least a new pad for the seat and the back, but that will be our rocker.
Did do some online browsing, have picked out changing pad, baby bath tub, and some similar items.
DH seems to be of the opinion that we can fit the baby stuff in the nursery room AND keep the treadmill in there because "the treadmill folds". Ummmm......no. Treadmill will be sold or donated. For it all to fit with the treadmill, we'd never be able to use said treadmill.

chipmunk - H wanted to keep the sparebed in the babies room. I finally got him to see there is no way it will fit with the crib, our chest with linens, rocking chair (we are getting from his parents) the two dresses (mine that i had growing up), and a changing table. But I also reminded him my mom gets 5 weeks a year of vacation. Do you really want her to stay here when we bring the baby home. The bed was down the next day.

snippet17, we have a futon in the spare bedroom, which I think my mom will take full advantage of, but DH is ok with that. My concern, besides the space issue, is when the baby gets big enough to start standing up in the crib, notice other things, said child will see the shadow of the treadmill in the glow of the nightlight, and with imaginations running wild, start screaming bloody murder in terror. Something quite preventable in my view!

chipmunk - the issue with my mom is that I don't want her to stay at my house. She can either drive home or get a hotel. I would want to prevent the child from screaming as much as possible, too.

1. How far along are you? 28w, 6days.
2. How are you feeling? Any vents or rants?
I feel like crap. Spent 2 days in the hospital last week and wound up diagnosed with preeclampsia. I'm now on a different blood pressure medication 3x'd a day and have to go back to my doctor this afternoon for a blood pressure test and NST. This will be a weekly, if not more frequent, thing from now until the baby comes.
I've been given a round of steroids for Baby's lungs just in case they need to induce me early and I'm hoping that this new blood pressure medication keeps the preeclampsia at bay for a while. But MAN I feel like crap. Not a happy camper at all. Didn't sleep basically at all when in the hospital and now my anxiety is in full swing and I'm petrified that I'm going to wind up in bed rest in the hospital and won't have everything done that I need to get done around here.
3. Have you bought anything yet? (Not creative today and I couldn't figure out a good one via baby center) a couple outfits from Carter's. My baby showers are scheduled for this Sunday and then Nov 1st so I'm not buying anything until after those. I'm pretty sure the ILs are buying our nursery furniture.

Was complaining to my mom over the weekend that I've started browsing maternity attire to budget for work clothes, and how pricey it is! I think I can get away with one pair of black and one pair of brown slacks, plus a black skirt, but I'll need to really mix up on different tops.
Mom responded by offering to look at some patterns and, with my approval, sew some work appropriate maternity tops for me for when the time comes. I'll likely take her up on that- she's a quilter and has been making suits since she was 10, so I know she'll be able to whip me up some appropriate tops without making me look frumpy. May also need to see if she's willing to put together a dress or two!

chipmunk - I highly suggest looking at old navy's maternity section if you do not find many fabrics you like at the fabric store. I have found a lot of good deals. I also go to retailmenot to make sure I am using the best online coupon(s) available. It is really nice your mom can make you some outfits!

@drexlkathy - they tell you to rest and sleep in the hospital but it is so hard with them checking vitals often, noise, etc. I hope your blood pressure can come down.

. How far along are you?
35+1!
2. How are you feeling? Any vents or rants?
I feel like I have hit a turning point. This weekend I had horrible cramping that kept me up all night on Friday. They went away when I stood up so I took a hot shower at like 130am and that seemed to help a little. I also started with Braxton Hicks, which is new for me. I will take these as good signs and ask about it at my appointment tomorrow - my first weekly appointment!!
3. Have you bought anything yet? (Not creative today and I couldn't figure out a good one via baby center)
We are pretty much set. I'll need some stuff for me for nursing but baby has more than what he will ever need.

@jennylee - we luck out that my mom only lives an hour and a half away. Yeah it sucks driving round trip but we also have a hotel 5 minutes from our house. I haven't looked at the prices but it is outside Allegheny county and its a small area so I would think the prices are cheap. Is there any houses in the area for sell that you could look at that might be a little bigger? ktmac - I am exciting for you. You are almost there!

They are great for when you are feeling more fat than pregnant Right now the side panel ones are the only pants that fit me. Plus they all have belt loops which is a plus! The only downside is no front pockets.

I am wearing the side-panel jeans right now and I am a huge fan. They are great for that odd, middle stage. My sis sent me some of her old work pants from her first pregnancy and they are full-panel. Tried them on and I am soooooooo not there yet I do constantly find myself trying to put stuff into the front pockets..... I had the frony panel yoga pants on yestetday. They kept wanting to come off. Lol

Hi everyone!
1. 5w6d 2. I feel fine, which seems weird. It's making me nervous, especially because I have 4 weeks until my first OB appointment. I keep thinking I'm going to show up and they're going to laugh at me and say "What made you think you were pregnant?!?" even though I've pee'd on no fewer than 10 sticks by this point. Also I really, really, really want a beer. 3. Again, not thinking that far ahead!

gingerlady - I felt the same way. There are plenty of people (including myself) who didn't have any pregnancy symptoms like MS or heartburn during the first trimester.
