2. How are you feeling: physically, emotionally, vents, AWs?
3. Have you been documenting your pregnancy in any way? (journal, bump pictures)

1. 20w 3d
2. My hormones are going nuts lately. I am have been coughing a lot lately and have no clue what I am aloud to take. I emailed my doctor today. I don't think she has clinic today so I hope she will be checking her email. I have been using a humidifier, but that is just not cutting it. It was 29 degrees outside when I went to work. It was freezing in my house. I cannot wait until the heat is on. Oh and our smoke detector's battery died and it was beeping when I left for work. I didn't have time to check which one and I wasn't sure if we have batteries for it.
3. H is taking pictures, but there is not a noticeable different yet. I swear my stomach feels smaller this week compared to last week. Luckily, I know the baby is measuring normally. I am not doing a journal or anything like that.

snippet17 The cough suppressant dextromethorphan is pregnancy category B (very likely safe). Just make sure you don't get a cough syrup that has other things in it, especially decongestants. Guaifenesin (an expectorant) is also safe. And cough drops with menthol/eucalyptus. Feel better!

1. 6w6d 2. I think the morning sickness is starting to kick in... I just have this nagging low-level nausea and it's woken me up in the middle of the night the past few nights. Eating small amounts frequently seems to help. Otherwise I'm still pretty amazed that I don't feel more lousy. I managed a 6 mile hike up a mountain in the snow yesterday, so I must not be feeling too bad. This morning I feel kinda crummy though. 3. I have a pregnancy app on my phone where I've been recording medical stuff (weight, blood pressure, some symptoms). I feel like I need to get through the first trimester before I want to really "document" much though.

Due to being on all of the medicines I was on in August and the medicines I am on now I prefer to double check with her. I asked her if I can take dayquill since that is what I usually take and she said it is fine.

gingerlady - That is amazing that you hiked that much during your first trimester. All I wanted to do was sleep and walking 2-3 miles a day was too much.

LMC - furnace is broke! They had to order a part but they are coming on Wednesday to fix it. We got the warranty when we bought the house so its only $75. My In-laws don't plan to put the heat on anytime soon. I don't know how they can handle the cols.

Luckily, the attic heater is separate from the rest of the house, so it is nice and warm up there. Plus we have wifi. And we do have two space heaters.

1. How far along are you? 36+1 OMG
2. How are you feeling: physically, emotionally, vents,
Feeling large. And just generally uncomfortable. Changing positions at all makes my pubic bone feel like it's going to snap in half. I'm going to try to keep walking a couple times a week but it's getting harder.
Sleep is a luxury that happens sometimes but not always. I have my weekly appt tomorrow and I have no idea if they're going to do a cervical check but everything just feels really low. Emotionally I am hilariously going back and forth between "I can't take four more weeks of this come out baby!" and "I am not ready to have a newborn stay in there!" So that's fun :-) All of our stuff is basically ready to insert a newborn into.
3. Have you been documenting your pregnancy in any way? (journal, bump pictures) I have been taking pics of my bump but just for myself. Not sharing them anywhere. Otherwise I'm just logging info from the doctors - weight, blood pressure, baby's heart rate, stuff like that.

8 weeks, 2 days
Feeling pretty good- was a little queasy this morning; this afternoon, nothing! Emotionally, last night I suddenly got the sads for all of 2 minutes. Other than that, I'm feeling pretty calm. Guess my puke fest Friday and the chest pain all weekend is keeping the emotions from acting up. Also had a 3 hour nap on Saturday afternoon, woke up solely due to the bladder.
Not really doing anything to document week by week aside from posts here. I do pull up information on "what's developing now" and "baby is the size of..." for DH- he's super curious about the size and development activity, which I find adorable. He's also saying he doesn't care if he gets pulled to work holidays till next May- that's extra income for baby expenses, and he'll take his entire 17 days vacation for the year after the baby arrives. He says he wants to be there for everything the first two and a half weeks, even if I'm a cranky mess and the baby is a screecher. He's gone into protective parent mode, and I don't even have a visible bump yet.
I'm also starting to get my paperwork in order. Next appt. is Nov 2nd and it's basically insurance stuff. I'm bringing the FMLA paperwork with me so my bases are all covered when I'm at the main office and meeting with my supervisors a few days later- doc can fill out that portion while I fill out the multiple forms. Probably won't end up needing the FMLA leave, due to saved up vacation and sick time, but I'd rather have it in place and not need it than have a problem and be scrambling.

efmcc67, not only was I 6 days late, my mom also lost a half pound in that time frame. Oh, and during the C-Section, after they got me out, a surgeon on standby (mom was 37 and previously had Crohns, and I was the first and only pregnancy), reached in and manually stripped her gallbladder, feeling for any stones.....she was not anesthetized that far up. Use that one on your mom and tell me about her reaction, ha! I have more "post delivery screw up" stories as well....perhaps I will create a thread for that...

I've discovered lifesavers are my friend when I'm not hungry, feeling a bit off, but want some kind of flavor besides water in my mouth. Wahoo.

yep....Dad handed me to one of the nurses in his efforts to get to the doctor and strangle him. The anesthesiologist was asking the surgeon "WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"
