Good Morning!
1. How far along are you?
2. How are you feeling: the awesome, the good, the bad, and the ugly?
3. What are you doing to document/celebrate your pregnancy or prepare for the arrival?

1.) 9 weeks, 2 days
2.) Feeling pretty ok. The tummy blahs are at a minimum, but I'm still lethargic/exhausted with periods of general ick. DH stated last night that he's "missing his wife" aka, he is sorry I feel so shitty, but wishes it would go by quickly so we can do fun stuff, be active, etc, within reason.
3.) Nothing as of yet, though my Mom bought us a car bear (big, soft, stuffed bear to fit in the car seat when the baby's not in it; the bear goes in the front seat when the baby is in the car seat, as a way of reminding us, since we live in FL and there's been a horrible string of accidental "leave the baby in the car" situations in the South in the past year), and yesterday she bought a wearable blanket via hanna andersson, her favorite kids/infant clothing line, because it was on sale. She claims that's the last thing she's buying before my 7th month. Riiiiighht.

1. 21w 3d 2. All over the place emotionally. H has been depressed most of the weekend. I started crying yesterday because I think H is going to commit suicide (H is not suicidal). I was mean to the IL about the baby clothes. They brought up about how most of the ones on the registry say boy and we are having a girl. Yes, they do say in the name boy, but they are all animal print and we added the clothes while we were in the store and that was before we found out the sex. Plus it is not our fault we are dog people and some places still associate boys with dogs and girls with cats. Plus clothes change so much and a lot of them will more likely not longer be in stock when people buy for the shower. Since our shower is Dec. 27, there is an increased chance of more than usual last minute shoppers so they can save money. 3. H takes a weekly picture of my stomach. And honestly I still feel like it just looks like I carry all of my fat in my stomach. My anxiety makes me over plan everything. You do not want to know how many diapers I have. Seriously there is a ton. I was smart and got them in a variety of sizes and brands. So by size 2 or 3 we should know what will work best. We have a pack n' play, 4-in-1 crib, and the mattress. All of them are out of the box and set-up. We have gotten a lot of books, a few board games (I know a few years early), and decor from my IL's attic. Plus we are going to be getting a rocking chair from the IL's for us to use for rocking the baby and late night feeding. (if I don't just do that on the floor). And we are getting my dressers and night stand from my mom's on Nov. 12. chipmunk - That stuffed animal idea makes a lot of sense. If I remember I will tell that to H. Trust me 2nd trimester is a lot better. I have lots of energy now.

Trust me 2nd trimester is a lot better. I have lots of energy now. I say this with a ton of love: talk to your OB about this. The jump from your H being depressed for a weekend to fearing your H is suicidal is not a rational, healthy jump, and truly, I don't think you can chalk that up to pregnancy hormones. That's an extreme jump. All of the nasty postpartum mental health struggles people talk about can happen during pregnancy, too. I hope you're not offended. You know I have so much love for you, and I would feel like I'm doing you a disservice if I didn't say something. Not offended at all. I was going to talk to my doctor regular doctor about changing my meds up a bit. It doesn't help that the my pill that I take in case of emergencies I am not allowed to take due to the pregnancy.

Don't get me wrong, if I had items that said handsome or something similar I can see questioning that. I even said that I have no issues with hairbows, etc. I just didn't put them on the registry since I know that stores do not keep them on stock. I used to work in retail and I know clothing items never stay in stock for long periods of time.

I got G a set of PJs that said "Mommy's Little King" on them because the cartoon lion was so damn cute. That is cute. I love Lion King, but H doesn't like it. So he will have to put up with Finding Nemo and items with Minions on them.

One thing my family should not be surprised that I am not into girlier items. Plus my cousin's wife said a few years ago that her daughter is not allowed to play with Barbies. At least I am not that bad. I think my mom cannot wait to give me the plastic bins of Barbie stuff.

Trust me - with a girl, there's absolutely no need to register for girlie stuff. YOU WILL GET IT ALL. The only gender neutral things we got were the ones we registered for, knowing we want a second kid. Kid has enough froofroo pink things to change her clothes twice a day for 6 months. And at least 12 headbands. OMG the amount of clothing my cousin got for her kid is UNREAL. Plus, a lot of it is really tiny, seemed like 0-3... but she's due in November and didn't get any "winter appropriate" options. Honestly, if I were her, I would have returned a lot of it to get the useful stuff I actually registered for. By the time it's nice enough out to wear a lot of that stuff, she'll have grown out of it. That is why I plan to buy clothes until after the shower. Who knows how much clothes we will get in small sizes. I hate having too many small sizes due to being due in March and hopefully by April it will be nice here where we don't need heavy clothes.

I've seen cute girly things, cute boy things, and cute neutral items on pinterest. However, I like the gender neutral tongue in cheek/occasionally rude humor onesies I keep seeing.
Some of the highlights:
"I survived my parents' first year!" "If you think I'm a good napper, you should meet my Grandpa" "I'll have a bottle of the house white" (complete with image of a baby bottle)
and
"Watch your language, Asshole, I'm a baby!"
My mom HATED dressing me in frilly little girly outfits. I could wear a totally pink, lacy dress, complete with bloomers, socks, and a headband with a bow on it, and people would STILL tell her she had an adorable boy. Why did they assume I was a boy? Because I was bald until about my 2nd birthday.

Good morning ladies!
1. How far along are you? 7w6d
2. How are you feeling: the awesome, the good, the bad, and the ugly? I have good days and bad days. Friday and Saturday were great. I hiked 9 miles Saturday, which was clearly a mistake because yesterday I felt like I had been hit by a bus and could barely get out of bed and was super-irritable and cried a bunch. I slept 11 hours Sat night and 10 hours last night and I'm still exhausted. The nausea has been fleeting and manageable though, which I'm INCREDIBLY thankful for!
3. What are you doing to document/celebrate your pregnancy or prepare for the arrival? Well DH had benefits open enrollment at work today, so he signed up for a dependent care tax-free savings account. That's actually the FIRST thing we've done to prep for this baby - I've been so cautious, especially because we haven't had an ultrasound yet. But his company offers a 25% match for contributions and we just couldn't turn away from that. We figured we could use the account for medical expenses even if something happens with this pregnancy.

Good for you! I had a hard time climbing stairs for awhile there I am just now back to exercising regularly! Haha. Yeah I felt great doing it but paid the price the next day... it's hard to know where to find a good balance. I got a bit cocky because I actually felt normal on Friday. But Sunday reminded me that I actually am still pregnant. Good for you for getting back into the routine now though! I'm looking forward to second trimester already... even though it will be winter in Massachusetts and I'll probably just want to hibernate.

Guys I have had a cold all weekend and it's moved into my chest. 9 months pregnant and chest cold are not compatible.
I'm Netflix binging again today. I can't tell if my abdominal pains are pregnancy related or sickness related.
Blehhhhhh

EVERYONE! H felt the baby move tonight! It both of us so happy. Yay! I *think* I was feeling movement last night (17 weeks, 1 day), but I'm still not sure. But I can't wait till H can feel it. I feel so anxious and crazy about this whole pregnancy thing that I think movement will calm my nerves a bit. Movement has calmed me down a bit.

1. How far along are you? 25w6d 2. How are you feeling: the awesome, the good, the bad, and the ugly? I've been getting cramps in my legs at night lately. Even though I keep a glass of water by the bed (which doesn't help with the peeing but that's pregnant life for you) so I don't know what else to do. My mom is also visiting and she tried to cop a feel of the belly without asking. So I backed away and she got all offended. Sorry, not sorry. Just because you gave birth to me doesn't give you the right to touch my body. Then she tried to guilt trip me with saying she came all this way and I need to consider her feelings. (Even though she was the one who decided to come... SMH). So within 5 minutes of her being here, I was in tears. 3. What are you doing to document/celebrate your pregnancy or prepare for the arrival? Nothing really. I take photos once in a while when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. My belly feels/looks bigger from the side than it did when I was pregnant with Tadpole. My mom hasn't tried this....yet, but I will keep that line in reserve.
DH learned the hard way last night that when I say my boobs are super tender, that means DO. NOT. TOUCH. He thought he'd be cute and poke one when he came to bed. Woke me up and I nearly punched him in the balls.
DH is still trying to fully understand how I'm feeling physically. I finally told him it's like a case of the flu that won't go away, where your symptoms are a constant feeling of possibility of puking without actually throwing up, constant exhaustion, and the occasional burst of energy followed by more feelings of ick. He's finally starting to get it.

Ladies who have had a baby/are actively showing- did you invest in a fly swatter or some other tool to keep rude hands away from the bump?
DH won't let me get a taser for that purpose....sigh...

ugh, don't get me started on the boob touching. Literally, the only time I am bra-less anymore is to shower. H thinks it is fun to poke at them and on the (rare) occasions we are having sex these days gets mad I won't take my bra off. I finally told him that I just don't think he understands what it is like.
DH is generally well behaved about the sensitivity, and super gentle during the occasional bedroom romps. But last night he just shoved his head up his ass with that poking. He also tried to be Mr. Offended that I didn't enjoy the feel of his week's worth of beard on my chest or shoulder, but backed off when I asked him if he'd like for me to rub sandpaper on his butt to return the favor.
