1) How far along are you?
2) How are you feeling?
3) What are you doing for the upcoming holidays (ie, American Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, Winter Solstice, Arba'een, Mawlid an-Nabi, New Years, Festivus, whatever you or your family celebrates)? what food are you most looking forward to eating during the holidays and your pregnancy? Are there any you will be missing out on due to dietary concerns or pregnant lady restrictions, besides alcohol?

1) 11 weeks, 2 days
2) Feeling pretty good, aside from occasional random gas pains. Appetite and energy are returning, wooo!
3) Going to my parents' home for American Thanksgiving, but Christmas will be at our place. I want me some turkey and mashed potatoes, yum! I'm sure DH will glare at me to ensure I eat plenty of veggies for the baby too, but that won't be a problem. I will be avoiding my parents' Christmas Eve/New Year's Eve traditional meal of shrimp marinara- seafood remains unappetizing.

1. 23W 3D
2. Just found out I had my first experience with heartburn. I honestly thought heartburn would hurt and not be annoying.
Some odd pains have occurred when I walk 3-4K over my daily step goal. For those days I was standing most of the day. It is hard to get used to not being able to do what I am used to doing.
3. Going to my cousin's for Thanksgiving. Who the hell knows if I will be able to eat anything. I love stuffing, but I will just make it at home since I don't trust that I can eat theirs. Hopefully, they will have some vegetables or something that I can eat or I will just have to lie and say I am full. I honestly hate food related holidays, specially with my family.
H and I are both working Christmas Eve, so who knows what will occur. We usually stay at my moms house and go to my grandmothers Christmas eve so who knows what will occur. Plus my shower is on Dec. 27 and I would prefer to just rest on the 26th. I know I will not be going to the IL's since H's aunt and uncle will not put their dog in the kennel. Plus his aunt won't get how I could be around the wiener dog and not their 100 pound dog who is two and still jumps on people.

1) How far along are you? 9w6d
2) How are you feeling? I feel pretty good. Nausea has been gradually decreasing and energy levels increasing so I feel like the worst of 1st trimester is over, and it never really got that bad for me. I have my first OB appointment on Wednesday and I'm a bit anxious about it. I just want some reassurance that things are progressing normally.
3) I'll spend both Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family in NH. I'm looking forward to eating ALL THE FOOD!!! Stuffing sounds simply amazing right now. So does pumpkin pie. I think I'll probably tell my family about the pregnancy at Thanksgiving - everyone is a heavy drinker so my lack of consumption will be obvious. I'm really, really hoping I have genetic testing results back by then.

I'm pretty sure I won't be able to keep my mouth shut I really want to start telling a few, select people about this pregnancy, but I don't feel like I can do that until I have some reassurance that I'm not being delusional and this is all just a figment of my imagination. Right now the only people who know are DH, my mom, and you guys (and my OB and my dentist, haha).

I totally understand @sarahufl. Some of us are just really private people, and I don't know why being pregnant is supposed to make us any different. I never told any of my coworkers about my engagement, and beyond just making sure I have coverage for maternity leave I don't see why they need to know about my pregnancy either. I'd like to talk to my immediate family and close friends about it, but that's pretty much it.

Found out that some of my friends didn't find out until after they got the baby shower invite. OPS. I don't post things like this on facebook and I know I told everyone on the one girl's night out but I cannot remember who was all there or not there.
I, also, found out I have a few relatives upset that I haven't posted any bump photos on fb or instagram. I haven't posted anything in months on fb and I rarely post my own picture on instagram. If you want to see it that badly how about a phone call and lets meet up for lunch or dinner. Not tell other relatives I am not posting enough online.

I told my boss last week when I was in Tallahassee. I wanted to enjoy her expression, and it was worth it. She completely freaked out in a good way. Told brother before Dad's surgery. He and his wife are excited, but he couldn't really muster up the enthusiasm when I saw him last week- that's fine, as I pointed out to him, we were there for Dad's surgery, and my announcement came out of left field for him.
Oh, and Dad announced for me to his surgical team right before he left Pre-Op....we both have a wicked/invective sense of humor, and after he told me to "behave" in the waiting room (I'm almost 29), I told him to behave and not die on the table. He grinned, and stated loud enough for the entire team to hear "I'm NOT GONNA, I want to meet that BABY!" Sooo yeah... little awkward for me, but it helped him stay positive being wheeled in to the OR getting all the "congrats on the new grandchild"

I am happy that it helped him stay positive for his surgery.

Wow, I had no idea something like this existed! I'm totally under-educated about all things baby-related (except hiking backpacks you can carry a baby in - I've been stalking the different available models of those for YEARS because I couldn't fathom having a baby if I couldn't drag it up and down mountains with me).

I am under educated, too. I learn somethings from friends who I can ask, here, and the babycenter. @daubachsgirl23 - Good to know that actual people loved them. I hate going solely off of online reviews due to so many could be fake.

I wanted one, but we have almost no counter space so I have to mix my bottles like a damn commoner. Ugh. My BFF has one for her twins and said it has been a lifesaver.

Thanks for the reviews. It might be something I use with my completion discount.

I cannot believe how tired my legs are by just driving to Erie. I was here in September and No big deal. I drove and worked 10 hours without an issue. I am so happy my PM suggested driving up here the day before. I am happy that I am more likely not going to Michigan during the pregnancy. I am the wierdo that tries to drive that far and only take one break.

When you're pregnant, you're more prone to blood clots, and walking around helps mitigate that. I am stubborn but I know I need to. Through I doubt I could do it every hour since sometimes I am stuck in traffic for more than that. I used to drive from philly to Pittsburgh without stopping and I have to remind myself that I am not in my twenties.

ktmac How are you feeling? It's getting close! I'm hanging in there! I was waiting until after my docs appt today to update, but I assume nothing is happening anyway. Easily the worst part of being this pregnant (39+3) for me is people being all up in our freaking business. Someone who I KNOW gained 50+ lbs during her pregnancy, which worked for her and her body obviously, told her daughter that she was NEVER as big as I am now. Umm we are the same size in real life and I have gained 25 lbs. stfu. One of H's coworkers told him that the fact that I wasn't making progress is his fault and that he needs to "get up in there and take care of it". Who says that???! Last one - a grown woman told me my belly button is sticking out REALLY far. Ya don't say??? What do you want me to do about it? I need to stop before I go into a real rage here in the waiting room.
