1. How far along are you? 2. How are you feeling? 3. If you could go anywhere on vacation right now, where would you go?

1. 27w3d
2. Boobs still ache once in awhile.
My legs are starting to ache often now. I am trying to stretch more often at night since they tend to ache more then. I was smart and listened amd made two stops on my way to Erie today. The first stop was 30 minutes in for gas and the other was at a rest stop just for my legs. My legs still ached but I know the stops and stretching helped them out.
I am going to ask my doctor for a script for constipation meds. I am on over the counter but they are pricey and I can get it cheaper with H's insurance. Plus I am starting to think the over the counter is not being as affective anymore.
3. I think I would go back to either Freeport bahamas or St. Thomas again or go on a cruise and see islands that I haven't seen yet.

1. 15 weeks, 2 days
2. Alright, just slept wrong so my hip and neck were aching today. My slacks are starting to feel tight at the button. I need to consider the belly band soon.
3. I'd like a trip to London and Ireland right now.

2. I feel good pregnancy-wise, but I had to work all weekend and it was very stressful and I didn't sleep much (middle of the night work calls, thanks...) so I'm totally out of sorts today. I want a day off.
3. Some place tropical!!! DH and I are seriously considering a babymoon somewhere in the Carribean, likely in February.

I always need to get out of the frozen tundra that is New York in Jan/Feb. I seriously hate it. Awesome!!! Because we're such avid hikers/backpackers for the past few years we've been doing our big annual trip in the summer when the weather is good for that sorta thing in the mountains (We did Yellowstone one year, Glacier another year). But with a baby due in June that won't be an option this year! Also, the winter last year was SO miserable with 7+ feet of snow in Boston, so I'm welcoming the opportunity to get the hell outta here for a while. We're considering the U.S. Virgin Islands - there is a Nat'l Park there with lots of trails so we can still do some hiking. The snorkeling is supposed to be great there too. Or maybe Puerto Rico. Ideas welcome!

I should have talked to my doctor about this but wtf can I do when my boobs are sore. I know I can put frozen cabbage (only do this if your not breastfeeding) on them after the baby gets here. Can I do that before? Any other suggestions?

Ok I HAVE to know what the frozen cabbage thing is. And why not if you're breastfeeding? Postpartum ice/cold suppresses lactation, so if you're not breastfeeding then this will help prevent your breasts from getting engorged/sore. I have no idea where the cabbage leaves thing comes from - maybe just that they're a convenient shape? Otherwise I'm sure anything cold will have the same effect. Obviously if you're breastfeeding you want the milk to keep coming, so you don't do this. During pregnancy ice can also be used when your breasts are sore. I've read it as a suggestion in many places, along with wearing a supportive bra. (And telling your DH ever-so-nicely to back the hell off)

My friend sent me a link to one of those cat treats commercials for "when you need to apologize" to the cat. In the commercial, all the cats are in costumes for Christmas. Of course, my reaction was to tell her I don't have to apologize for terrible Christmas costumes, but I will have to apologize in say, July, when I'm burping the baby post feeding, and the tabby tries to sniff the baby's face from behind me, only to get a face full of milk vomit. Here's hoping DH has the video camera for that one!

I have no clue where the cabbage leaves come from. I read it on the internet, so it must be true. But ice and ice packs are more convenient.

The cabbage trick was actually in my new mom packet that I got in the hospital after P was born. I never had to try it because I only got slightly sore, and ibuprofen could take care of it. But it was in official hospital paperwork, so there must be some truth to it.
