a Girl! Well, it's not 100% confirmed yet. She kept moving around a lot, making a clear image difficult, but the sonographer managed to get a decent shot that made her pretty certain that we're having a little lady. We'll know definitively at the 20 week anatomy scan with the higher resolution equipment. I honestly thought it was a boy, but I'm happy to be proven wrong regardless. DH is trying to be Mr. Macho Tough Guy after his eyes welled up during the sono, but I'm anticipating he'll go into super protective mode within the next few weeks, and especially once she arrives

Thanks ladies!! Dying at that nickname, @sarahufl I'd actually had a few dreams where the baby was here, and was a boy. So I was thoroughly convinced. But regardless, we are very excited about our little girl. I'm also a bit relieved- my mom is a quilter, and I probably have a dozen "girly" quilts for a twin bed from when I was little, plus an American Girl Doll full set (Felicity) and an American Girl Brand Bitty Baby. I was nervous that we'd end up having all boys who might not be interested in any of that stuff, and now I'll have a little girl who might be more inclined to dolls and girly things than a boy would be. My mom was bugging us for updates yesterday. I told her we couldn't tell, due to the baby moving too much (stall tactic). My folks will be here on Friday and Saturday to celebrate early Christmas with us. I've taken some white onesies and fabric markers, and written "Grandma's Little Princess" "Granddad's Little Lady" and "Gator Girl" on them, wrapped them up in a Coach wallet box, and put them under the tree for her to open. She'll be so busy griping at us for spending money on her at Coach (she loves the purse we bought her a few years ago, but feels we should save the money to spend on ourselves), that it'll take her a moment to realize what is actually in the box. I anticipate a total meltdown, and plan on coordinating with DH for photos and video. Yes, I am evil sometimes

I've always had a hunch I'd have a boy... and I was right. Of course, I had a 50/50 shot!

Mom unwrapped the box of "girl" onesies yesterday. She kept laughing, crying, and hugging them, after calling us "little shits" for "hiding" this information from her.
