3. Any recent bump pictures?

1. 29w4d
2. I got my compression socks in the mail on Sunday. I had over 12k steps yesterday and my legs were not achy.
#firstworldproblems not happy that the cheaper garage near my jobsite today was already full at 745. I am more surprised because i got into that garage last week at 830am and the college students were here. Now the college students are on break and it was full before 8am. I opted for street parking since its better than walking up a hill or the garages where I would need cash. My company pays for parking but I prefer to save them money.
My tooth where one of my crowns is at is aching/hurting. Not sure why. I think the dentist I used when I got the crowns sucked and that could be the reason.
3. Bump picture will have to wait until I am at a pc. I don't think my bump changed but my hair dyed and cut.
My aunt and cousin bought items from BRU and sent them directly to me since they cannot come to the shower. So far I got three packages (which I still cannot believe they bought me so much stuff). I hate sending out the thank you too early in case there happens to be something else. Any suggestions to when I should send out the thank you card? My shower is on Sunday.

1. 17 weeks, 3 days. Getting closer to the half way mark!!
2. Physically feeling good, though apparently what I thought was some minor gas discomfort way down in my abdomen is actually me starting to feel the tiniest of movements as Chipmunchkin ping pongs off the sides of her space. Way too many back flips and ninja moves already- I'm terrified of how many beatings I'm going to take in another month and a half or so. Emotionally doing well, aside from the issues revolving around any further contact with DH's dad and stepmom, which I addressed on the support board. I was ridiculously tired yesterday evening, probably from not sleeping well the night before, but feeling better today.
3. No bump photos- still in that "looking more like a blob than a pretty pregnant lady" stage.

snippet17, how long ago did you receive the items from aunt and cousin? If they just arrived, right before Christmas, I think you're ok to wait till after the shower to send out the formal thank you note. But I'd still call them up and thank them over the phone, just so they know the packages did arrive safely. That also gives them the opportunity, if they so choose, to hint if they got you anything else that will make an appearance at the shower. If you got the items more than 3 weeks ago, I'd send out the note lickety split, regardless of whether there's an extra surprise at the shower. No one will side eye an extra note, especially if you had no way of knowing that they were being extra generous in more gifts for you.

chipmunk - yep gas can mean movement! I received the last item yesterday, one on Saturday and thr other Friday. So its been all recent. Good idea on the phone call to thank them that way and send the note later on.

1. How far along are you? 16 weeks 2. How are you feeling? (Emotionally, physically, etc.) I feel great. I keep forgetting I'm pregnant, which is a problem this week because I have to remind myself that I can't have all the delicious holiday alcoholic beverages on offer. Boo 3. Any recent bump pictures? Still nothing close to a bump yet. I'm hiding things very well.

gingerlady, I'm deliberately getting myself a bottle of non alcoholic margarita mix and am mixing some with lemonade over ice. That way I can have the taste of a favorite drink without the risk of booze to the baby. There are some decent mocktail recipes where you don't even notice the lack of alcohol, if it helps!

I definitely need to learn some good mocktails! Unfortunately my favorite drinks (wine and beer) have no acceptable non-alcoholic substitute. I've been fine abstaining but the holiday week is harder! I have had several glasses of decadent non-boozy, pasteurized egg nog however, which feels holiday-like.

I have had several glasses of decadent non-boozy, pasteurized egg nog however, which feels holiday-like. They really don't. No matter how much you miss it, do not let yourself be swayed by the alcohol-removed wine. It's terrible. So not worth it. Sparkling apple juice is decent in a pinch. At least you can toast with that and not hate yourself immediately. Oh gosh that sounds terrible! I'd rather toast with water haha! Sparkling apple juice is okay but so sweet. Not a big fan of sweet except occasionally.

I drink Welch's light, white grape juice for variety from water. When ice cold, it could aaaaaalllllmost taste like wine. DH is adorable, and will pour himself a glass of red wine, then pour me the juice in a wine glass. I like getting to feel fancy when he does that

I have been craving booze all pregnancy. I even stated to H he should sneak me in a beer when we get out of l&d. I mainly drink beer, wine or straight hard liquor. My one friend is nice and said at least you can drink on st. Patrick's day.

I have been craving booze all pregnancy. I even stated to H he should sneak me in a beer when we get out of l&d. I mainly drink beer, wine or straight hard liquor. My one friend is nice and said at least you can drink on st. Patrick's day. I don't get to drink on St. Patrick's Day. Darn. I haven't been craving booze per se, though the thought of a glass of wine with Christmas dinner sounds nice. But, whenever DH has a drink, even in a restaurant, I can smell the booze from across the room. And here I bought him a bottle of bourbon and a bottle of scotch for Christmas. I'll get to sniff that in the evening, hahaha.
One thing I have noticed being pregnant, even though I'm not a beer drinker, DH is, which I don't mind. What I do mind is after he's had 2 or 3, hasn't had anything to drink since, and wants to hold me/kiss me/breathe on me with stale/late beer breath. It didn't bother me before, but now it makes me feel sick to my stomach. Since I explained it to him, though, he's been really good about drinking water after having a beer, and after 2 or 3, brushing his teeth and using mouthwash so I don't feel yucky. Bless him.

I'm totally with you about the beer breath chipmunk! I keep telling DH to brush his teeth too. He hasn't learned to do it without me asking him though.

H is nesting and its cute. H went to Sams club (since we will be losing his free membership soon) and bought toilet paper, paper towels, and tissues that should last us until next December!

Made a fake margarita last night with the mix, some lemonade, and a bit of lime juice. It tasted good enough to pass for the real deal!

chipmunk - I am happy you found a mocktail that you like. I wonder if it would taste good with some strawberry puree.
