1. How far along are you?
2. How are you feeling? (Emotionally, physically, etc.)
3. Is anyone's SO nesting, freaking out, or anything else because of the baby that is joining the family?

1. 31w3d
2. Good until I started this thread. Maybe its a sign I need to stop starting the threads. Lol my boobs are now killing me again. Maybe I should take a few baggies and add snow to them and stuff it in my bra.
My viginia has been hurting me too. I go to the doctors on Thursday and I will let her know. Stretching does help but some of those moves that I need to do are hard to do at work.
I am starting to think some of the hiccups I am feelinf are BH. I know its nothing to worry about since its only 1-2 an hour if that.
3. H has been nesting but is denying it since nesting is not manly. Between all of the paper products that will last a year and majority of our canning jars are full he has been busy.

@sarahufl - good luck with the registry. Have you gone into any of the stores yet? We only did target and bru. Target was easy but Bru was overwhelming. So many things to choice from. On a plus side I am having fun playing with all of the to toys we got.

1. 18 weeks tomorrow
2. I feel good. I think I'm finally developing a teeny tiny baby bump. I wore tights today and I'm deeply regretting it - need to find a maternity solution for skirts & dresses in winter! I've been running a lot and it's still going okay. No discomfort - I just feel slow and heavy.
3. DH has gotten very serious about learning about babies. He ordered like 5 books from Amazon and has been studying them very intensely. He keeps asking adorably naive questions like "How do you hold a baby?" I'm a pediatrician so I'm obviously pretty comfortable with babies and I keep forgetting where he's coming from! He held my cousin's 6 month-old at Xmas and later told me he's never held a baby before and I was like "really?!?".

On a plus side I am having fun playing with all of the to toys we got. We went to BRU, but the store by us is kind of trashy. They had, like, 7 strollers on display and they were all bolted down. So we went to Buy Buy Baby instead, their stroller selection was WAY better. Plus, I think the BRU near me is actually mostly a Toys R Us, because only about 10% of it seemed like actual baby stuff. We are doing Buy Buy Baby and Amazon. Mostly from the comfort of my own couch That does sound more like a toys r us and a crappy store. I think there wasnlike 20 strollers at Bru and we could push them throughout the store. Most things we added was via online but since we knew we both of a lot of family who would go to the store we wanted some items they could get right there. H was picky on the swing we got since it had to be able to be plugged in and he wanted to make sure we picked out the right kind so we had to go to the store for that.

1) 19 weeks, 2 days
2) Feeling good, though a bit tired still. My sleep schedule was off all weekend, so now I'm dragging. Starting to really feel little flutters of movement, at least twice per day.
3) He hasn't gone into nesting mode yet, but I expect after this week's scan he'll start getting into it more. Still being super protective and insistent that I don't overload myself with stuff around the house (my nesting phase right now seems to be more of a "must deep clean EVERYTHING" situation).
I bought us a copy of "The Sh!t No One Tells You" on handling the first year, but we haven't opened it yet. I'll admit it, I've never changed a diaper in my life, nor has DH. Unfortunately, all the Newborn care classes at the hospitals and centers in our area do their sessions on Sunday afternoons, Monday and Tuesday evenings- all times when DH is working, and if we're going to do such a class, we really want to do it together. So, now I'm looking at youtube for some helpful videos, hahaha.
My mom is making me some maternity dresses and skirts for work. The cotton practice dress (all the official ones will be in knits) should be done today, and she'll be mailing it to me with strict instructions to tell her how the fit feels, particularly across the boobs and arm holes- my measurements were all over the place. Looking forward to it!

chipmunk - that sucks you cannot go to a class. Travel here we have Saturday classes. I never changed a diaper until the class we took.

Mood swings have started. DH inadvertently set me off in a crying, angry, mess last night, all over what he and I would/should eat for dinner. When he got home later (he works an afternoon/evening shift, and coming home for dinner is technically his lunch time) and I woke up, completely calm, able to talk to him, etc.
He did look like he was hit in the head with the "DUUH" board when he asked why I was so upset and crying over something so small in the grand scheme of things, and I finally practically yelled "I'm F-ing PREGNANT, OK?!" Poor man. Hopefully this type of mood swing will be rare.

How in the world didn't I know this, am I losing my mind? Why did I think you did genetic research? Or is that part of the job?

How in the world didn't I know this, am I losing my mind? Why did I think you did genetic research? Or is that part of the job? All of the above are correct! I'm trained in Pediatrics and Clinical Genetics. I spend most of my time doing genetic research, though I still maintain 2 clinics/month where I see patients (mostly kids but also some adults) for genetic consultations. I don't do any general Peds anymore. It's confusing, I know. I barely remember what I do these days

Looks like I have an inflamed gum by my three teeth that are capped. going to call the dentist today to see if they can fit me in on Saturday or the following saturday. I knew this could happen since they brought it up at my last dentist appointment. I just hopw the swelling goes down a bit. Been rinsing my mouth with warm salt water to see if it will help.

The box of gender neutral hanna andersson clothes from my mom arrived. DH is still skeptical about them being girl appropriate (he's used to seeing bright bold colors in the stores being associated with boys clothes, while girls get stuck with all light "delicate" colors), but sees how I've pointed out ways to make them girly, if that's such a big deal *eyeroll* He did burst out laughing when he was looking at the striped wiggle pants- on the back of them are two little pockets of the inversed striped pattern, to designate which side is which for fit purposes. The sight of those itty bitty pockets to go on a diapered butt was just too funny for him to keep a straight face

1. How far along are you? 8w1d2. How are you feeling? (Emotionally, physically, etc.) I'm exhausted, slightly nauseous and my back continues to kill me. I finally cracked and set a Dr. appointment for tomorrow morning for my back. 3. Is anyone's SO nesting, freaking out, or anything else because of the baby that is joining the family? Nope, he might start getting more worried once i'm further along though.Umm congrats on your pregnancy! Sorry I'm really behind on my Treehouse news! How far apart will your 2 be? We're starting to think about TTC #2 too

Just got to the office following the 20 week scan. Baby's growing normally, and is definitely a girl! We have some ultrasound shots of her sucking her thumb, and another foot shot from a ninja kick.

I have a love/hate relationship with some of these ninja like kicks. I love feeling her move, but sometimes I feel like there is more than one in there. Seriously she kicked below my right boob and towards the left and below my belly button at the same time.
I had a pregnancy moment last night and I feel a little embarrassed but I am still sharing. I found a few brown marks on the top of my stomach last night. I thought maybe the baby kicked me so hard that she left me black and blue marks. H suggested it was stretch marks. Turns out to be neither it came off when I showered this morning. It was chocolate!
