Can I flood you guys with pics because I'm a proud mom and I haven't been on in a long time? Cause I'm going to!
Gianna is 6.5 months now. She was 15lbs 9oz as of last week. She loves to walk around (holding our hands) and scoots backwards LOL. She's a super easygoing happy baby and loves everyone.

@daubachsgirl23 How is N doing with baby led weaning? We started with Baby G on Christmas Day and she had zero interest in even touching her food. Now she's picking it up and sucking a bit. She seems to like meat best although we had an actual choking incident where I had to actually turn her over and hit her on the back (that sounds odd, I don't know the proper term to describe it lol) until she threw it up. We gave her some meat again this week and she ended up throwing up on her own. So I'm not sure if we should just stick to veggies and fruits for a while. She just doesn't seem to care for them as much!

@daubachsgirl23 We've been really lazy about it too honestly! Some days we haven't given her anything at all, but I'm trying to be proactive about at least doing one meal/day. Now that I'm back at work too I really don't want anyone else feeding her when I'm not there (until she gets the hang of it). I feel like I don't know how well my family who is watching her would handle it if she choked. I've taken Infant CPR and when she started choking I remained calm and knew exactly what to do.
That's great that your LO likes sweet potatoes! I thought Gianna would for sure like sweet potatoes (I don't know why, I guess because I LOVE them lol) so that's actually the first thing we gave her but she doesn't seem to like the texture of it and will barely touch it!
And IDK why I forgot that it wasn't meat she choked on. It was a piece of French toast (just egg and bread) which she loved but we took away after she choked. When she gagged and threw up on her own it WAS meat though. All the different textures are probably a big learning curve!
Do you feel like people think you're crazy for doing baby led weaning? Even though I've explained to people what it's all about they don't seem to get it. With my ILs it's like talking to a wall sometimes. I totally explained it to them more than once and then they other day they were like, "oh blah blah blah, rice cereal". And I had to explain again that we weren't doing rice cereal.

D is doing well, he is going to be 3 1/2 next month. We seem to have made a lot of progress with regards to potty training. He's getting better about telling us when he has to go, and the accidents have decreased a lot! (Still working on pooping in the potty) He is really into Paw Patrol and pretend play. Today he was talking about how there were 5 C's visiting. He also got sad when I told him he's going to be 4 in August, he said I want to be 3 for a long time! He seems to love school and is learning how to spell his name. He can recognize letters and gets so excited when he gets the letters right. C will be 18 months at the end of the month! I don't know when that happened, she was a baby yesterday. . She is saying more and more words. She is also stating tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants. She loves dancing and singing to music, it's really cute. She also loves when we vacuum, she will go and get her vacuum to help us. I'm hoping to wean her soon! I will start a thread because I'm lost on how to even start. She loves playing with D, but sometimes he doesn't like playing with her. She's also possessive with her stuff, saying no, mine. Pictures in a bit.

@daubachsgirl23 - neither of my older kids had teeth before they turned one, and both were well into solids (including meat) by that time. Their little gums were tough! That's what I keep telling myself! But I'm still hesitant. I am also totally sad at the idea of a real alternate food source (and in my head, meat/protein is more of a food source than just veggies/fruit) but I am trying to play it cool! I can totally relate to that. I would never have guessed that I'd love breastfeeding so much, but now that I do it I think it's so beautiful and amazing.
On the other hand I don't like pumping and now that I'm back at work I kind of look forward to one day maybe cutting down on daytime feedings. (That's a thing right? I feel like I've read that when some babies get older they wean except for a feeding before bed? I could be making it up.)

@jennylee That is awesome! The French preschool sounds great especially if you didn't get a good vibe at the other place.
Does CA have powerball? You "gotta be in it to win it!"
