Hi Ladies,
I received a set of 7 coupons in a parenting magazine subscription for a "free" (must pay shipping) item from various sites. While I used the one for the nursing cover and the nursing pillow, and plan to use the one specific to me for the baby sling, I have codes for carseat canopies, baby leggings, baby books, and ruffled diaper covers for whoever wants them. I also got some promo codes when I placed my orders for the cover and pillow that I think are pretty universal and am happy to share around!
the websites involved are:
carseatcanopy.com uddercovers.com nursingpillow.com sevenslings.com babyleggings.com babsybooks.com rufflebuns.com
The general looking discount codes are: UCTHANKS, UCPARTNERS, and NPTHANKS.
If you want one of the specific codes that I have available, it's 1st come 1st serve on PMs

Well, a bit disappointed and kicking myself for not doing more research. However, I only ordered two items, and the nursing cover was more or less so my mom could get a look at it- in addition to the maternity clothes, she's offering to make me some covers, and I can let her have fun tearing this thing apart, seeing the pattern used, and making up other, better quality ones.

chipmunk - That's awesome that your mom is so crafty. Definitely don't *buy* nursing covers. If I use a cover, I use a swaddling blanket and it works perfectly (and people love to get swaddling blankets for the baby shower!) I was looking at the blanket route, but want to consider something lighter weight and something with a loop to go around the neck- living in FL with the heat and humidity 9 months of the year, I want something breathable, and most swaddle blankets seem to be of a heavier fabric for softness and baby's comfort.
My mom is a hell of a quilter- I know she's already plotting some baby quilts for me, and when I suggested I try my hand at the nursing cover, she shut me down instantly, saying she'd do it. To be fair, she has the awesome sewing machine, patience, and time to do such things. I'm handy with hems, buttons, and repairs if I can do it with a basic needle and thread, and can sew the occasional basic pieces for a costume by hand, but my crafty talents are not in the "make beautiful quilts and clothes" realm.

I actually like the uddercovers because of the neckline insert that holds it away from your body so you can see baby. I got 2 for $25 total which is way cheaper than the boppy ones and other brands they sell in-store.
My favorite swaddle blankets are the A+A Bamboo. Look for them at TJ Maxx, Marshall's, and Homegoods. They're cheaper and bigger than the ones they sell at Target and BabiesRUs and the bamboo is so much softer than the muslin!
