First ultrasound set for Tuesday!!!
Now that we aren't cycling (technically), we don't get the preferable times anymore. 10am. Woof. That screws up my day.

Yeah when we were doing blood work/ultrasounds when I was doing my injections, they gave preference for the times between 6:30 - 7:30. NO LONGER

Appointment went well. The culture and the strep b test went well. They ralked the whole time so it wasnt bothersome. They didn't want to check if or how many cm I am dilated due to me only having contractions once in while. Plus it doesn't really matter until I am in labor. I could be 4 cm for weeks. And it hurts a lot if I am not dilated.
Measured perfect again. Which means no ultrasounds this trimester.
I shouldn't have any more tests, shots, or ultrasounds the rest of the pregnancy. Plus I made all of my appointments until my due date. H still thinks she will be here February 21 and I still think she will be here this month, too. Even through my due date is in March.

Somehow I only gained .2 lbs since my last appointment. I gained a lot during the holidays so its either due to that or due to my new diet of junk food.

You stop retaining excess fat toward the end of pregnancy (thank goodness, or I'd have run out of pants). I had a few weeks with no gain at the end because the baby's growth and my body letting go of fat balanced each other out. I want to call it my dq pregnancy diet.

Good news! I don't have strep B. I know it would just have to be some antibiotics but I needed some good news.
Oh and they did do some cultures for stds and those all came back negative. But I wasn't worried about that.

Just got to the office after my routine check. My BP and baby's heart rate are good, no comments on any weight I may have gained (good sign for me), and they're happy with the amount of kicking I'm feeling.
Next appointment will be the second week of March, another GD 1 hour test, and if my back spasms into sciatic pain (I woke up at 2 am this morning nearly puking from it because I turned wrong), I'm permitted to use my heating pad for 10 minutes. Wooo!
Plus, hospital tour Sunday. Yay!

I hope your hospital tour is fun!

Wooo! Plus, hospital tour Sunday. Yay! Look at you- hospital tour already?! Mine is in like, 2 weeks (I am a slacker pregnant). Not sure if your back issues are from other stuff, or just pregnancy, but health-permitting, you may like pre-natal yoga. I know it has been really helpful for me. I figured with Sunday being a couple's holiday, I could "pester" the staff on the tour with all my questions, hah! DH has to work anyways that day, so it works out well for us.
Back issues are stemming from an injury in fall 2013. I'm trying to do some careful stretching with walking and ball crunches, but unfortunately, I'm limited on the number of exercises I received during Physical Therapy for that injury now due to the pregnancy. I've been having pregnancy related back aches for about two weeks now, so I think I may need to look into a supportive pillow for my lower back to help with this.

Appointment went well. Pee, measurements, blood pressure, and baby's heart rate good. I somehow lost 0.8 lbs this time.
I did ask them about if they look for dilation. This doctor told me only if I want to know or at 39 weeks (so my appointment in two weeks). I really don't care knowing or not knowing since it doesn't seem to really matter unless I am in labor. And they will do a membrane sweep in 3 weeks. I still think I am going to deliver this month.
The only bad note was the traffic. There was a wreck on the highway near where I enter at so I took a back way. I hate being even 5 minutes late to anything and I was 15 minutes late. They didn't care specially since this wreck was on multiple radio stations, but I felt bad.

My pee test and baby's heart beat good. Measuring at 38 weeks. Baby's head is down, but that is where the good news end. I knew I shouldn't have asked how far along I am when it comes to dilation. I am now in so much pain since I am only a finger tip dilated. And damn did I bleed a lot this morning because of getting this checked. Which is my fault since they asked and I said yes. The scientist in me is telling me it doesn't matter since I know women can be 4cm dilated and not go into labor and be zero and go tomorrow. The issue is the bratty and bored me who says wtf doesn't this baby want to be more ready yet!!
And now I am bitchy to H because the IL's want to go to Long Horn and they took away the only dish I could eat. Oh well I will get over it. Off to call home daycare providers. I hope some of them have room for an infant. H just told me a big daycare provider just closed in that area and had 40 kids. Urgh I wish I had the money to pay someone to make these calls for me.

Sorry your feeling so lousy snippet17! Silly baby be nice to your mama! Either come out or stop torturing her! Also, good luck with the daycare issue. I'm scared of this too... we're waiting to book one because we don't know where we'll be living, so I know it will be a last-minute scramble. I may need to pick your brain when I get to that point!

gingerlady - I called three places so far. Two has no room for newborns and one is a center and I had to leave a message. H has been a great wealth of information for this since he is the director of CCIS in the county we need a daycare he has been to or worked with some of these places. We make too much to get help with daycare thru ccis but all of these places do take kids that don't qualify too.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can find a place soon and without too much stress!

I haven't yet started looking into a private sitter vs. childcare for September, mainly because DH is coming up on applications for shift changes in the next month or so, which could mean needing Chipmunchkin in care for an extra day or two during the week. (Right now, between my mom and DH's current schedule, we'd need care one day per week).
Out of curiosity, I did look at the tuition costs at the premier prep school in our city (they only do middle and high school though), and nearly choked. The school wants a bit more than 7k per year than what we pay in our annual mortgage payments for a single year's tuition......I need to make waaaaay more money if we were going to consider that possibility in the future.
