There is a group on Facebook called "car seats for the littles" and the people there can answer just about any question regarding car seats (like if you tell them the make and model of your car, they'll be able to give you specific options size wise)
They were a wealth of info when we were reviewing seats.

No rush @lolo , but I might take you up on that in the future. It's 40 below again today, so I won't be measuring the truck until it warms up! I'm guessing that not a lot of people here have pickups either, but I'm comparing our current truck to a mid-sized SUV in terms of seating space. DH wants to get a bigger truck to make travel easier (which does make sense) - but dammit, I want a Fiat or Mini, and it has to be a convertible (because I'm completely impractical. Who wants a convertible in the friggin' Arctic?? Me!) We have a Dodge Ram and a Lexus Rx350. Our infant seat is the SnugRide 35 and convertible is the Graco 4ever something?

We have the Evenflo Symphony for DD. It fits in my FIL's F150 pretty well, but I'm not sure if he has an extended cab or not.

Ugh adjusting the straps on the infant seat is THE WORST. Why can I not adjust them with the baby in it? How am I supposed to know how tight to make them otherwise? UGH. I side-eyed SIL for registering for a preposterously expensive Peg Perego one but now I'm jealous that hers adjusts easily with a button on the front. Grrrr. What! I throught you had to adjust the straps with thr baby in it.

Ah. We have the graco fast action fold sport travel system. I know the straps that I saw are in the front. H went over it with me and never said about any straps being in the back.
