I had an appointment today and everything looks good. My weight is way up, which sort of alarmed me, but it's still in a healthy range overall. Baby measurements and heartbeat were all good. I did my glucose screen and blood work today, so keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get a call from my OB in the next few days.

@jennylee - I didnt know that the mirena can stop your period. H now doesnt want to get snipped right away so I have been looking for something to go on at my 6 week appointment that wasn't the pill

@swimmy1988 glad you're feeling good 90% of the time! I agree with everything @jennylee said - I'm sure a certain amount of feeling overwhelmed is normal, but definitely take care of yourself and reach out if you feel like it's getting out of hand.
Also, it's worth considering that the hormones in the Mirena are supposed to have effects mostly locally in the uterus, without much systemic absorption. Also it contains progesterone-only, while most birth control pills are a combination of estrogen and progesterone. Therefore, just it's very possible than you may tolerate the Mirena better than the pill.

Glucose test = passed! Now I just need to convince myself that this doesn't give me free reign to eat whatever-the-hell-I-want. I'd still really rather not gain 50 pounds...

I have my first appointment on Monday. I am super nervous, I just want good news/confirmation. Since I am exhausted and nauseous all the time I'm staying optimistic, but its still nerve-wracking!
