It's almost March!! What's on everyone's appointment books? Are your partners getting any appointments that have a relation to your baby's health?
I've my second Gestational Diabetes 1 hour test on the 9th, plus a standard OB follow up. I'll get my TDAP vaccine update at that point.
DH has a general appointment with the VA on the 1st, where he's going to ask them to check his latest vaccination records...he thinks he got a booster for most everything on the list last year, but if there's one he's missing, like TDAP, he'll get his update at that appointment.

My only appointment is my March 3 weekly appointment. After that if the baby is not here there will be some type of appointment(s) for inducing sometime the following week. I am not sure what they plan to start with in the process, etc. other than we will be discussing it at my next appointment. I think I confused some family members and they thought I said they plan to induce me on March 3. But after explaining a few times they understood its just to talk about it, they won't start until my after my due date which on a Saturday.
Tdap does hurt for a few days after you get it. H got his Tdap and flu shot at the same time back in November, so he is good. My parents, H's parents, and H's grandma have all gotten their flu shots and tdap, too. My MIL got a shot for shingles, too, but I am not sure why.

She was listing all of the shots she got and it almost sounded like she got it due to the baby. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't complain about anyone getting. The child we mentor's told us that he has all of his shots and gets the flu shot yearly. We never even asked or hinted to her about the vaccines, but it was nice of her to supply this information.

I've already told my Mom she has to get her TDAP updated, given the post maternity leave plan. While I had the chicken pox when I was 6, I'm not sure if she ever did. I'll have to inquire.
She's probably up to date on all other immunizations though- when Dad was undergoing radiation and chemo, she got all her stuff confirmed as up to date, and would not let anyone in the house who hadn't gotten the yearly vaccines for airborne illnesses such as the flu. With him later undergoing surgery this past November, she got all her annuals updated a month in advance, and placed the same ban on visitors who didn't get their shots.

The TDAP vaccine lasts for 10 years so if it was included in the litany then, she should be fine. That is why pretty much everyone in both H and I's family got the tdap. None of them knew if or when they got their last shot.

Still at finger tip dilated. I am not bleeding thru pads like I did last time. So that is a plus. Not sure if it was due to him having longer fingers, but it did not hurt at much this time.
I forgot to add, he was having a hard time getting her heartbeat so they had to bring in their mobile ultrasound machine which the nurse said had to be older than all three of us combined. lol But at least I got to see her and she is facing down and the correct way. Which is a very good thing.
I didn't even bother asking for a membrane strip. I don't see the point if I am not really dilated.
I have a US Fetal biophysical profile w/stress next week on Wednesday. And then a regular appointment on Thursday. After that I will be induced.
DH's work has a poll going on where they are guessing the baby's weight, time its born, and the date she is born. The latest someone put was March 10 and honestly feel at this point I will be going past this date, but who knows.
H and I were discussing and who knows if I will even have a job to get back to if I get a c-section. As much as I hate my employer, I kind of need a job to pay for our bills. Nothing to worry about now, but its just another thing that is in the back of my mind.

Hurry up baby snippet17!!! We want to meet you! Sorry about the job stress... I hope you can work something out with your current employer, or find a new job. It doesn't sound like it's been a particularly family-friendly setup for you

gingerlady - The management and owners are family friendly when it comes to their own family. But all of their wives are stay able to be stay at home moms or work part time. I don't think they get that not everyone is lucky enough to be able to do that. It may take me a bit to find a job due to so many looking right now in my field due to the oil industry, but I have a lot of certs that would make it easy to work for hospitals in this area if they would have any job openings. And I would not mind a change to another field, as long as it is not selling insurance, there is no way I could do that.

@lolo - The company handbook has about FMLA and that they give all employees 12 weeks of it unpaid. The time I am off right now they can count as my FMLA, too, even though I didn't want to take it. So far I have taken 4 weeks of the FMLA. I have a copy of the handbook on my personal computer JIC they end up screwing me. I am trying the walking and using my exercise ball. Even if its not helping it is keeping me healthy.

That's good that you have FMLA coverage snippet17. Although it totally sucks to have to go back so early 7 weeks should be enough time to recover completely from a C-section if you were to need one. Most sources I've seen say 4-6 weeks is typical.

Most sources I've seen say 4-6 weeks is typical. Short term disability generally covers 8 weeks, but I agree most people I've known are generally healed before then. I was definitely "better" before the 6 weeks I was allowed for a natural birth. But let's not put thoughts of c-sections in your head, Snippet. We're all coaxing that baby out NOW! Thanks! Daycares won't take kids before 6 weeks, so its not like I can really go back before then anyways or I would have to miss my 6 week appointment after the delivery since I could see my company not giving it to me.

Yeah you should definitely get your full 6 weeks. If they dick you out of that they're gonna have an angry mob at their door. I don't have a pitchfork but I can find one. Maybe we can have a mob at both of their doors. One in Pittsburgh and their office outside of Detroit. Or I will luck out and get a job at my friend's company. They keep expanding, she works from home 90% of time, I would be able to take the LO to daycare when H is in Harrisburg, and its in my field.

chipmunk - Good luck on your test! The NST went well. The found contractions, even though I never felt them. The ultrasound showed there was enough fluid and the placenta looked good. Plus they looked at the bladder, heart, and kidneys again. Which all looked good. As the doctors said at my weekly appointments her head is down. Weekly appointment tomorrow. Hopefully I will get some good news where my bishop score will be higher compared to where it currently has been. Just a quick flu update. I am feeling better and reduced the amount of Tylenol that I am taking. I am still having some issues breathing at night due to my stuffed up nose so I am not going to reduce the in haler in take (which I can reduce anytime I want to according to the doctor) until after I am done with the 5 day dose of Tamiflu. I do have the energy that I may sit on my exercise ball and bounce a little and swing my hips. Ops forgot one thing. I think I lost all of or at least majority of my mucus plug on Friday. I have been so focused on posting about the flu, that I never posted about that. Don't worry no pictures.

Doctor's office said they'd call by 4:30 yesterday if they needed to schedule me for a 3 hour test. I didn't get a call. Yay!

I lost 4 lbs! My stomach is measuring at 41 cm. 1-2 cm dilated. The doctor did sweep my membranes. Still a little under the weather, but I continue to feel better.
The most important part and why I am so excited that I am jumping around the house. I am getting induced sometime on Saturday. I will know for sure what time to be at the hospital by the end of the day today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay snippet17! So happy you're starting to feel better, and that an end is in sight. Keep jumping around and maybe that induction won't be necessary!

I agree. H is taking off part of the day tomorrow so he can sleep a little. When you said 1:15am on the other thread, I assumed it was a typo. Why are they making you come in at that time!? I have no clue! I guess that is when they have an opening. Plus we will not have to worry about traffic and drunks due to the parade.
