1. How far along are you?
2. Symptoms/Complaints/Compliments/Rants/etc.
3. Bump/Nursery/Other Baby Related photos or funny moments to share?
4. If you could get away with doing one thing by blaming it on pregnancy hormones, what would it be?

1. 27 weeks, 2 days. Officially in 3rd Trimester!
2. Kicks individually aren't hurting. But over the weekend, I got kicked repeatedly in one particular spot. I didn't know it was possible for your small bowel to feel sore from the inside. My lung capacity is also not what it was as stuff is starting to squish up.
3. Need to take a photo or two, and figure out uploading them all at once. Have some cute shots of the kitties peering into the crib over the weekend. Smart girls, neither tried to jump into said crib and lounge out.
4. Claiming an entire gallon of Moose Tracks Ice Cream for myself. Unfortunately, I have to share with DH, sigh.

1. 39w2d 2. I can still post on here!! I know I am the most threatening thing that has ever happened to PB. Lightening crotch hurts even more now. The extra pain started yesterday. Bored of people asking me if my doctor still thinks the due date in March 5. I don't think they get that that it is just an est. due date and the baby is more likely to come between 2 weeks before or after the due date. I think the baby is moving/hitting my stitches on my left side a lot lately because it hurts a lot! 3. Bump picture from yesterday. Plus its in part of the nursery. 4. With H's allergies there is a lot of junk food that I never have to share with him. I did blame the pregnancy on Saturday to get a box of girl scout cookies. They were selling them in the church parking lot that is near our house. I had no cash and I think H lied saying he only had a $5. They are $4 a box here.

1. 26 weeks 2. I feel great. My rants are all non-pregnancy-related right now (job stress, house hunting stress, family stress, etc.) 3. I'm FINALLY starting to look and feel pregnant. I broke out a big maternity shirt for the first time today, and I bought new bras so my boobs are WAY happier. Here I am! 4. Right now I'm blaming not exercising on being pregnant, which really isn't good. All the things I'm used to doing (jogging, biking) aren't working anymore, and I'm having difficulty motivating myself to start new routines.

Thank goodness all the trail mix baggies were nearly eaten up already...
I had a baggie plus yogurt for my lunch. Now I'm having pain and discomfort in my lower chest towards my diaphragm. No problems breathing or swallowing water, but man does it ache.
In the event the ache is because of my boobs and the bra being too tight, I've zipped up my jacket and unhooked the back (scandalous, I know), but this discomfort didn't start till after I'd eaten. Ugh.

Some photos....crib set up, and kitty inspections. Pretty sure the tabby didn't jump in a)because she knew I was watching and b) she hasn't quite figured out how to get in there yet.
ETA: I have no idea why the photos are so big. First time with tinypic. Ever.

Stupid question and I don't think there is really any known answer since everyone's cervical checks are different. Is there anyway to make a cervical check less painful? I know relaxing helps and I thought I was at my last appointment. Any suggestions will be helpful. I had cramps for at least 8 hours when I had my last one two weeks ago and bleed for almost 24 hours.

I know relaxing helps and I thought I was at my last appointment. Any suggestions will be helpful. I had cramps for at least 8 hours when I had my last one two weeks ago and bleed for almost 24 hours. I have a friend who is a midwife and advised me to decline them for this reason. She says that most of the time, they aren't really necessary and are just super painful and really uncomfortable. I need to do a little more research before I decide if I want to go that route or not, but she said they don't give you a whole lot of additional info and that other labor signs are generally more obvious and important. For the most part I have skipped them, but for this week they want to know where I am so we can figure out how we want to proceed if I will need to be induced. I maybe declining the membrane sweep (if they still offer it to me) depending if I have progressed at all. I haven't had any signs of labor.

I think they're painful when you aren't dilated--which you won't know until they check. With G, they were painful but I was a fingertip dilated up until 40w. With N they weren't painful, but I was 4cm dilated at 40w. And in both cases, my girls were 5-6 days late lol so really, dilation doesn't mean much! I think that is when they plan to start inducing me (5-6 days after I hit 40w). I thought I was actually feeling BH a few weeks ago, but found out it was just her butt moving around. lol I am just happy I am not the only one that is in pain after the check occurs. babycenter is making feel like the weirdo/liar that had cramps for 8 hours after in occurred.

bleggghh this week sucks you guys. I was at work til 9 last night, and back at 7 this morning. I am so exhausted, and queasy. I just want to go home and crawl back in bed until tomorrow. Those types of turn around times suck. Being pregnant increases the suckiness of those turn around times. I used to drink one energy drink in the morning to help me get through it but it has so much caffeine I was scared to drink that on top of my usual pepsi intake.

I'm sorry engr0308. It totally bites when first trimester symptoms collide with work stress! I had a huge grant deadline due when I was like 8-9 weeks along, and it was absolutely awful. I worked like 80 hours that final week, and all I wanted to do was curl up under my desk. I hope your schedule eases up soon! Hang in there!

My goal is to switch to decaf completely but that's not happening this week. I stopped for a latte this morning and yesterday, which should keep me under 200mg of caffeine/day. I miss caffeine. Pop is my usual go to caffeine. I never liked the taste of coffee and I drink herbal decaf tea. I can understand missing caffeine. The struggle is real. H gave up all soda and fast food two weeks ago. He is still struggling with that at times.

I did meet someone who thought we made up the name Genevieve, which goes against everything I believe about names lol What?! Genevieve is a name that has been around since forever. I wonder if she just pronounced the name differently. I do know people that pronounce it two different ways.

GREAT names PandPmeant2B! You're making me wish I were having a girl Genevieve, Hazel, and Lucy were all on my list before we knew we were having a boy.

Genevieve was my great-aunt, so it's been around at least 90-100 years.
I have a soft spot for old family names. Hazel was another great-aunt. Our current front-runner name was my grandfather's. If this baby had been a girl she probably would have had DH's grandmother's name (Alice). My niece has my grandmother's name (Lilian).

I have Hazel and Alice as nieces, which I love. Violet is top on my list if this kid is a girl. Your sister has seriously good taste in names. Violet is pretty too!
