1) How far along are you?
2) Any complaints/AWs/symptoms/fun or touching stories?
3) It's officially spring! What's a favorite spring time activity of yours/one that you want to eventually do with your little one?
4) Anyone have Easter plans? Celebrating Purim? Holi? FYI, Wednesday is National Puppy Day. We should all be given an hour of snuggling with puppies that day...

1) 30 weeks and 2 days
2) Blood sugar measuring is a pain in the ass. But, I'm able to eat basically what I was eating before, with some minor changes (no fruit spread on toast in the morning, switching to a higher fiber bread, and the whole "eat 3 small meals and 3 snacks" vs my normal "3 meals, plus a snack if I need it") and my blood sugar is well within the normal/desired range.
The hardest part this weekend was timing meals- DH and I like to have all of our meals together on the weekend (since during the week the most we can manage is dinner, but he gets up late, and I'm the early bird. So we have to do some coordinating and he has to not be butt hurt that I have to eat breakfast sooner than 10:30 am in order to keep to this time table for measurements and making sure things don't go out of whack.
Chipmunchkin was in full prize fighter mode over the weekend with all the moving around she did (resulting in my belly jumping constantly). DH was highly entertained, and more so when he started singing to her with a hand on my belly, and she ramped up her movements in response.
3) My area generally has warm(er) weather year round, but spring for me has always had a day relaxing by the beach- no swimming, the water is too cold, but shell hunting, enjoying the sun and the breeze, and getting lunch from a little beach side café.
4) I have to figure out what to make for Easter dinner before DH has work that day. I'm debating making him a little Easter basket, even though he claims not to want a whole bunch of Easter candy....maybe just a little baby related thing, plus some of his favorite Easter candy and a funny card...

Forgot to mention...as of last night, the wedding and engagement rings are officially off my ring finger, and on a chain around my neck. I was still able to get them on and off, but with some difficulty. Now I'm glad I did- apparently the occasional swelling in my finger led to some previously unnoticed rubbing/chafing, and I have a pink line across the top of my finger from my wedding band, with the normal indentation from my engagement ring. It'll take a few days for that to go away.

1) How far along are you? 29 weeks tomorrow
2) Any complaints/AWs/symptoms/fun or touching stories? I feel good! DH and I went for a hike on Saturday which made me feel particularly awesome. I've been feeling like a lump recently, so getting out for some fresh air and exercise was absolutely perfect. It was a huge confidence boost for me to know I can still get this growing belly to the top of a mountain.
3) Spring in New England = mud season = usually not-so-much fun. But, I love when the bulbs come up! When we have a house I'm going to plant all sorts so I can teach our LO all the flowers and the order in which they come up and bloom: snow drops, crocuses, daffodils, tulips, irises, lilies. When I was a kid we always made an Easter egg tree with pussy willows and red dogwood. We'd blow the eggs and paint them so we could hang the same eggs on the tree year after year. I'd like to do that with our LO. Also, I'm excited for the snow/ice to melt this year because it may be a better-than-average mud season and DH and I want to squeeze in some hiking and maybe backpacking before baby arrives.
4) We don't have any Easter plans. We usually go to my dad's house but he and my stepmother are in London right now helping my aunt transition to a long-term care facility. They've been there for months taking care of clearing out her house. So we're sort of on our own. I'll think of something special to do.

1) How far along are you? 7 weeks
2) Any complaints/AWs/symptoms/fun or touching stories? same boat as last week, sore, tired and nauseous. I am not puking, but my god I just want to eat food and not feel like I'm going to puke. In better news, I told my parents on Thursday and they are so excited. H told his mom this weekend too, so I got a got a very happy call Saturday from her (I was working out of town). I am just anxious for my first appointment next week. Until then its hard to get too excited. Just trying to stay positive though.
3) It's officially spring! What's a favorite spring time activity of yours/one that you want to eventually do with your little one? Nothing specifically spring related I can think of, but being at nationals this past weekend I was getting excited thinking that soon enough maybe I will be bringing my family with me. I know next year he/she will be too little to enjoy disneyland, but in a few years it will be fun knowing I can include them.
4) Anyone have Easter plans? Celebrating Purim? Holi? FYI, Wednesday is National Puppy Day. We should all be given an hour of snuggling with puppies that day... Not sure on Easter plans yet. We usually go to my SIL's for brunch, but I want to avoid champagne brunch right now because I am not ready to tell all the family yet, so we will see. But I will for sure celebrate national puppy day on Wednesday!

Momentary flash of pregnancy hormone irritation/hurt...one of the women in this office has been out for nearly a week, is back in today. I'm wearing a new top with a diagonal pattern of fluttery fabric...makes me feel pretty, and while the top neither accentuates nor completely hides my bump, my 30 week, 4 day bump is nevertheless there.
Enter lady who has been out for almost a week. Ms. Skinny Minny walks up, smiles at me, and says "You don't even look pregnant until you're up close!!" I am/was a bigger, curvy girl BEFORE I got pregnant. I know she didn't mean to be insulting, but it was thoughtless, and it hurt to think that while I look pregnant up close, from a distance, it is implied that I just look large and lumbering.
Still trying to figure out Easter Brunch or dinner for DH, and the store is closed on Easter, so I gotta figure this out quickly.

chipmunk I've definitely also been in the category of slow-to-show and have had loads of people tell me "you don't look pregnant at all!", but I hate that comment if I don't look pregnant then I really must look fat, because my waistline is like a million inches wider than it normally is. It's a lose-lose situation. Everyone just needs to learn to say "you look great/radiant/beautiful!" @sarahufl sorry about the GBS

sorry about the diagnosis, @sarahufl.
Thanks for the support, ladies, I am deliberately wearing a more fitted top this morning and a knee length, lacy maternity skirt. I feel pretty, and the top is in my favorite shade of cobalt blue. Anyone who side eyes my clothing and my bump can suck it.
