1. 31 weeks, 3 days
2. Chipmunchkin is already a total Daddy's Girl. I'm mostly ok with it.
She wasn't moving around much yesterday, but had been bouncing all over on Sunday, so I chalked it up to her sleeping. But by nighttime, I was starting to get worried- only had a few moments of tiny pressure.
Told DH about it at bedtime, he immediately yanked up my top, put his hand on my belly, and started talking to her and humming to her, telling her how much we love her, can't wait to meet her, describing all the family members who want to meet her and love her, and while it's nice that she doesn't want to distract me while I'm working, would she please move a bit because she was "making Mama nervous, and Mama will take that out on Daddy!"
Not two minutes into this litany, she started moving and bouncing around. So yesterday, it apparently was a combination of being tired and wanting her Daddy, not her Mommy.
3. I promise to get a Bump photo up this week. The nursery is currently in disarray as we are doing some touch up painting/edging.
Photo of the paintings we did at Painting with a Twist Date Night! It's called Wet Kisses. DH did the badass bold colored rocker on the right
4. Ocean Blue and Coral. I'm not normally one for pinks, but Coral I like, and it's so pretty in the spring!

I was just wondering what happened to our weekly checkin. It was quiet around here yesterday. 1. 30 weeks 2. The reflux is awful! Really, I can deal without re-tasting everything I eat hours afterward. It's more annoying and gross than painful. Otherwise I still feel pretty great. 3. I hiked again last weekend! I'll add a bump photo in a bit by Tapatalk. 4. I always love green, and what better time to wear it than spring! Green was my wedding color for my May wedding last year and I wore a nice, bright grassy green sash with my ivory dress. I realized on St. Patrick's Day this year that I failed to obtain a single item of green maternity clothing. I think I'm going to have to fix this asap! ETA bump photo

gingerlady - You look great! @sarahufl - I am used to yelling at contractors to get on schedule (and for safety reasons) and miss it. If you need me to help let me know!

@sarahufl - I am used to yelling at contractors to get on schedule (and for safety reasons) and miss it. If you need me to help let me know! I mean, I KNOW renovation projects pretty much always go over. I was prepared for that. But the closer I get, the pissier I get. It doesn't help that the contractor is a bit lacksadasical. We have an old house (built in 1928), so I was expecting some issues to arise that would delay the schedule. But honestly, the ones that did were pretty minor and I can't for the life of me figure out what is taking so long. I got an email last night saying the baby's room is done "except the electrical features" which is a FAN. And they said it will be installed next Monday. Get me a damn ladder and I'll do it myself. Why is it taking A WEEK to install a freaking fan?! My house over 100 years old so I understand the old home. They should have been bringing in extra guys at least a week before the date they said they would have been done. It shouldn't take long to replace a light unless the wiring is nob and tube. Even if the old gas lines are in there (like my house has) it shouldn't long to redo.

The man holds a journeyman's electrician's license and used to put together onboard computers and guidance systems for tanks, trucks, and helicopters for the Marine Corps. He installed all four of our ceiling fans in less than 2 days, including one where he fixed the wiring for a remote controlled fan. He'd have that thing installed in a snap.
As for you doing it yourself, no no no. They need to send over some buff, deferential young thing to install it while you sip some lemonade and glower.

sorry you are uncomfortable @sarahufl , and I sure hope they get their act together ASAP. That is the last thing you need on your plate right now. chipmunk , those paintings are super cute! gingerlady you look great! entropicbeauty hope you get a call soon. I'm sure they would call you sooner than later if it were something to be worried about, so I bet your LO is just being stubborn! Hope you get to find out the gender soon. I am already impatient for 16 weeks to find out, I would be so disappointed if I had to wait longer! I had my first appointment yesterday. My doctor was so happy to see us sooner than anticipated. H was a nervous wreck but it was cute how many questions he had. They were not planning an ultrasound, but I just wanted some assurance it was all good in there so she did a quick check for me so I could see it on the screen. Too early to hear a heartbeat with their machines (and I opted not to go pay extra somewhere else just to hear it) so at least seeing it was there and she said all looked good, I'll take it. She scheduled an actual ultrasound where I should hear the heartbeat in two weeks. I really need to dissect my insurance so I know exactly what is covered so we don't get sticker shock along the way. Thank goodness we changed our policy this year, so I know its much better than what it was, but I also know there are tests/ultrasounds along the way not covered. 1. How far along are you? 8 weeks 2. Complaints, AW moments, Symptoms, other details you wish to share? Nothing new. Sore, Tired and Naseous 3. Bump photos? Nursery or planning photos? Other cute pics? Nope, just bloat. And I want to decorate a million nurseries right now. 4. Favorite color to wear in the Spring? I tend to see more greens, pinks, floral in my spring attire. I am looking forward to flip flop season the most.

It shouldn't take long to replace a light unless the wiring is nob and tube. Even if the old gas lines are in there (like my house has) it shouldn't long to redo. We re-wired the entire house last year before we moved in bc of the knob and tube wiring, so it doesn't need to be re-wired. There is now no excuse to put up a light. It should take a professional maybe an hour to take out the old and place in a new one.

mrsELF6713 yay for your good appointment! I also remember being so anxious for my first. Also, it's smart to check the insurance coverage. Sometimes you just can't get a straight answer though. I looked into my coverage and thought that I would have to pay $500 toward my deductible for MaterniT21 testing, but nope - it ended up getting covered and I didn't pay a dime. Same was true for carrier genetic testing and my 12 week NT scan. BUT, then I was surprised when I got a $300+ bill for my anatomy scan, even though I was initially told it was routine prenatal care and wouldn't apply toward my deductible. I paid it anyway because I figured I'd end up having to cover my deductible sometime or another, but it just seemed totally random.

@sarahufl - I would be very upset with the general contractor, too.

My friend is throwing a small, intimate luncheon cookout for us as a "welcome new baby" non-shower. DH and I received our invitation yesterday- My friend has a paper crafting program and cutting machine, and did the invitations by hand. DH and I are blown away by her craftiness! The front of the card and back of the envelope The card's interior (with private info blocked out, though I hate to mar such a pretty card) In other news, based on humming to her/playing music, Chipmunchkin likes: "We Are the Boys of Old Florida" from my alma mater, the Marine Corps hymn (though more so when her Marine Corps Daddy is the one humming it), Concerto 3, Allegro 1 (from "Autumn") and Concerto 2, Presto (from "Summer") from Vivaldi's Four Seasons Concertos.

Trying not to be an AW this week, but I did promise I'd finally get up a bump pic. Taken this morning before leaving for work, at 31 weeks and 6 days. Apologies for poor image quality- I suck as selfies, and the bathroom light was really bright.
