1.) How far along are you?
2.) Symptoms, Complaints, feel good moments, dreams, etc?
3.) If you could have Mary Poppins, Nanny McPhee, or Minions at your house to help out with preparing for baby/caring for baby, who would you choose and why?

1.) 34 weeks, 2 days
2.) Baby got a foot up under my rib cage when DH and I were walking the nature trail this past weekend at the beach. It took a few minutes to figure out why I had this intense ache- she was pushing a bit on the rib. Had to sit down and try to get her to move that appendage.
ETA: Realized over the weekend that I've developed some plantar fasciitis in my left foot towards the heel. Apparently not uncommon in pregnancy, I've been having the symptoms for a few days, mostly when I get up in the morning. Stretching helps, but it still aches.
No baby-centric dreams, but had some random ones. For example, we test drove a 2016 Forester on Saturday, and that night I had a dream where we bought the car, and at the first cleaning/oil change, the guy doing the cleaning didn't latch the moon roof properly, so soap suds were flooding the interior. Another random one- despite the matter being resolved via settlement since last December, I dreamt I received a copy of SMIL's civil suit against her former employer for reasons beyond me, only now as part of the suit, FIL was suing the employer for all the stress he'd suffered, and he was also divorcing SMIL. Our issues with FIL and SMIL are completely unrelated to SMIL's prior civil suit, I have no idea why I had a dream like that.
3) I'd totally go with Minions. Even though they'd wreak havoc on my house in their efforts to help out, I think I could get them to do a lot of house work while DH and I could bond with the baby via ice cream sundae bribes. Plus, I could film their antics and make millions.

1.) How far along are you? 11 weeks 2.) Symptoms, Complaints, feel good moments, dreams, etc? Feeling the same; MS is more of a regular occurrence the past few days. Not overwhelming, but I pretty much can't eat anything in the AM without gagging. tends to get better after 10am so I just nibble on food and do what I can to let it pass. plus now I have noticed I get the hiccups a lot lately in the evening. We told H's extended family at the picnic on Saturday. Everyone was very excited. I wish I could tell my extended family in person, but that can't happen since they live on the east coast so I am trying to figure out the best way to go about it. 3.) If you could have Mary Poppins, Nanny McPhee, or Minions at your house to help out with preparing for baby/caring for baby, who would you choose and why? Minions would be the most entertaining of course Not sure how helpful they would be though. Right now I just need a maid since I am too tired to do much around the house. Saturday I managed to clean the kitchen and bathrooms, but the laundry is still in piles on my couch.

1.) How far along are you? 33 weeks
2.) Symptoms, Complaints, feel good moments, dreams, etc? I sprained my ankle yesterday which sucks. I hope it heals quickly 'cause I ain't got time to be immobile right now. I did have two dreams last night and I was pregnant in both of them: in one I went back to visit an old workplace and everyone was congratulating me. In the other I can't remember the details but I really wanted a drink and I had to abstain.
3.) If you could have Mary Poppins, Nanny McPhee, or Minions at your house to help out with preparing for baby/caring for baby, who would you choose and why? Is it bad that Mary Poppins is really the only one of these that I know? I had to google Nanny McPhee and I only know Minions from some random ads. The truth is that I just want to clone myself so one of me can sleep while the other one breastfeeds and changes diapers.

A little bummed out....friend was coming down this weekend for baby shower. Haven't seen her since November.
Friend just texted- she was at doctors for sore throat, has been diagnosed with group a strep, and has some group b symptoms.
Friend is not coming. I will miss her, but appreciate her being concerned for me/chipmunchkin exposure.

It's true that getting step throat (Group A strep) while pregnant would suck. She doesn't need to worry about GBS though - it's just a normal colonizer of the gut. Some people have it and some don't and it doesn't usually cause symptoms in adults. It's not clear how people get it but it doesn't seem to clearly pass from one person to another in the way that we often think of for infections. There's no known way to prevent becoming colonized with it. Actually, as long as she has a few days of antibiotics in her she doesn't really need to worry about the Group A strep either. But it's also totally fine if she wants to be cautious! Hope your shower is awesome anyway!

Regardless of the chances of me catching Group A or B from her, she informed her doctor of what her original weekend plans were, and was told "Stay away from the pregnant lady." We'll get together this summer after Chipmunchkin arrives. I told her to eat a gallon of ice cream on my behalf, and to help soothe her throat
