I've an appointment May 9th, for OB check and ultrasound.
I'm assuming after that, they will schedule me for weeklies, as I hit 36 weeks tomorrow April 30th.
If I'm not in labor by May 28th, I will be induced. No details on when they would schedule that to start.

very exciting chipmunk! I have an OB checkup on Monday and my NT scan is on Wednesday. I am still trying to figure out how its possible to make a pregnant woman drink 32 oz. of water and NOT pee before that appointment. I hope on Monday I will be able to hear the heartbeat. We could not hear it with the doppler last time, but saw it on the screen.

I have a routine appointment on Wednesday 5/4. I also suspect I'll be moving to weekly appointments soon after that. Weekly appointments in my mind means things are getting real!

I can promise you it won't be an issue. Yeah I had my NT scan on an empty bladder and they could see everything perfectly. No one told me anything about drinking and not peeing beforehand. Worst comes to worst they can't see what they need to and have you drink a bunch and then wait.

good to know, thanks.
Appointment today went well. Nice, strong heartbeat and I got to hear it for the first time.

Well, I officially have "mild pregnancy-induced hypertension". No signs of pre-eclampsia at this point and it's not in the range that my OB wants to treat quite yet, but she's upped my level of monitoring: weekly visits, home BP checks, low threshold for blood work and NST. Fun fun fun. My gut tells me I'm having this baby before 40 weeks.

All smiles aside, I hope everything turns out alright, no pre-eclampsia, and you and Gingerbreadman have a smooth, safe rest of the month.

NT scan seemed to go smooth; and thankfully I survived the full bladder I finally got pictures too. It was waving and kicking its feet, it was so amazing to see. H made an insensitive comment last night at dinner when we were out with his brothers and some friends. I am dwelling on it, and that has me down. I need to talk to him about it but just need the right time. Pregnancy hormones have me all sensitive right now.

I need to talk to him about it but just need the right time. Pregnancy hormones have me all sensitive right now. I've had to have a few moments with DH where he said something rude/insensitive that hurt my feelings during pregnancy. Once I pointed out to him how it came across to me, he would acknowledge and apologize. Hope your DH reacts similarly.

Had the appointment this morning with the ultrasound....
Chipmunchkin has big feet, long legs (they were commenting on how long her thigh bones are!) and is currently estimated at 7 lbs, 8 oz. Here's to her not getting much bigger in the remaining time she's on the inside, though apparently she is measuring within all normal parameters. I think she's going to be all legs to Canada (her Daddy is 6' 2", and my brother is 6' 3.5")
She is head down, and while her butt is on my liver, she's got a foot firmly wedged between my ribs and my stomach, which explains the regular heartburn. We did not really get a face shot, she was being modest, but we did see a little hand with chubby fingers/knuckles right up by her forehead.
Between how well I've been controlling the sugars and the fact that she's showing no signs of "macro-baby" syndrome from the borderline GD diagnosis, my group has decided to treat the remainder of my pregnancy as a normal, non risk one, so chances of induction on due date (over the holiday weekend) are now much lowered.
They did the swabs for group B strep checks, and checked my cervix. Less than 1 cm dilation, so everything looks good and is on track!
Remaining appointments for the month are the 20th and 27th. Since I'm due the 28th, fingers crossed that everything will be good to go the 27th and/or looks like I'm having a baby that day or the next!

I'm back from my 38 week appointment....at 38 weeks, 6 days, hahaha.
I'm no more dialated than I was on the 9th. Grrr. I'm not at the point of wanting to evict Chipmunchkin, but I am getting rather tired of the "haven't you had that baby yet?" queries and my mom's over excitement- trying hard not to be snappy. Oh, and I'd like to be able to breathe again and not have swollen feet/ankles. I used to have strong, "pretty" feet, even if they were long. Now they just look like a set of sad London broils.
Group B strep negative!! WOOHOOO!!
Doctor this morning was asking about whether we'd scheduled the NST or ultrasound, due to the borderline GD diagnosis....ummm, no, bc your colleague told us last time that we're now being treated as a normal, non risk!! I got squeezed in for an NST- Chipmunchkin is doing fine, decided to participate without much prodding, and bounced around as requested. Buuuut, they may decide to go for an induction after next week's appointment- I don't care, I want a healthy baby with safe delivery, and my appointment next week is a day before my due date; I'd rather they induce me that afternoon than wait things out over the holiday weekend. I know I'll get twitchy with three days off doing nothing but waiting.

Just got home from 39 week appointment. 1 cm dialated, and my due date is tomorrow. Did an NST- Chipmunchkin didn't feel like showing off, so I had to move around a bit. Hospital will not schedule a Friday night or weekend induction. Buuut, they did schedule me for Monday night. If I don't pop on my own, I go to the hospital at 5 pm Monday. I think I'm going to suggest to DH that we go out for a big steak dinner Monday, after the lunch rush, just in case I'm in labor well into Tuesday. Oh, and apparently between a) the borderline GD, b) the size of the baby, and c) my narrow pelvis, a C-Section is definitely under consideration. I'm ready to puke a kid.

chipmunk good luck!!! And yes, dilation is meaningless. I went from 0cm 2 days before I delivered to 4cm when I arrived in L&D and 10cm less than an hour later.

Do we have a labor buddy in place for chipmunk? Good luck! I don't know! I don't know who has a labor buddy or who doesn't anymore!

I hope you don't have to get a csection If I have a c section, I have a c section. Whatever is the safest, healthiest way to get her out. I was born via elective c section myself, (would have been brain dead or damaged otherwise) so I won't knock it. I won't post incision photos if it comes to it though, lol.

Can't wait to hear more about your little guy and his arrival Oh gosh, I'm being terrible about writing up my birth story. The truth is it all happened so fast I'm not really sure I remember it!
