Any of you who are FB friends with me will probably know why I'm feeling stabby toward MIL. Really, lady?
Background: I posted that "Me too" status, and she commented (PDQ): *poof*
I'm ignoring it because I'm not going to police how a victim/survivor responds to what happened to them, but seriously?

Oh that is so uncool, eba1012. I would be pissed, too. I don't have any vents yet, but the day is young.

Can I complain about something that's unimportant? The new podcast app in iOS SUCKS. It's awful. I am sassed about it every time I use it, but I don't want to re-do subscriptions on a different platform.
I think this is more of a first world problem.

Related to the 'me too', I had a friend that posted the status. A male friend of her then commented that she should edit it because SA happens to men too. He just "all lives matter"'ed sexual assault. Prick.

I am in a podcast group on Facebook that's pretty large, and legit the best "review" I have read of the new app has been "It's not *that* bad." Even "not that bad" is way too positive a review of this disaster.

I saw that comment eba1012, and definitely side eyed it.

I'd be really unhappy about that as well, efmcc67. That's unacceptable, especially in 2017.

A senior colleague at a conference recently made a comment that changing anything at the Library of Congress is like trying to move the building 2 inches. This is true, but so frustrating, especially when I know we're losing users as a result. PDQ *poof*

I want to do the "me too" on FB but I also don't want to think about it. And being public about it is a personal decision. I feel like I should to support other women but I just can't deal with thinking about it over and over. It's bad enough how much I think about it as is.

bellaluna, thanks. Several of my friends have said something along the lines of it's okay to not say anything and it doesn't mean you don't support other women and so on.

dirrtybutter <3 You don't have to do anything you don't feel comfortable with doing <3 <3 I 100% agree with this. Just because you don’t feel comfortable sharing/participating doesn’t mean you aren’t strong or standing up for women. Do whatever works for you, friend. <3
