Ok, ladies, talk to me about what's on your holiday wishlists. I've been asked for birthday (early Dec) and Christmas gift ideas by both my family and my ILs, and I'm completely uninspired this year.
What are you asking for this year?

I don't have a ton yet, either, so I may need to stalk this thread. A couple things I'm asking for:
A nice tea kettle. My current one is a cheap-o from Bed, Bath and Beyond, and I don't love it. Cookbooks: Adventures in Slow Cooking, the BiscuitHead cookbook, and My Two Souths (southern US and southern Indian-inspired recipes)

I'm asking for monies and registry stuff for the most part.
I'm also asking for clothes because it seems like just as I'm saving money, ALL of my clothes are dying.

On the flipside, what are you giving?
This year, it's a lot of wedding-related stuff.
We're paying for the rooms for several family members (FI & me for my brother's; FI, me, mom & bro for aunts/uncles, etc.) and def. a gc for his mom for her hair/makeup.

I usually ask for charitable donations instead of gifts because I am much more of an impulsive buyer - if I need something, I get it, so I rarely can think of something I need for holidays/birthdays.
Some ideas - gloves/hat/winter stuff in general. Snow boots? Scarf? Any clothing items that you want but haven't pulled the trigger on yet?
Is there anything you'd like as an "experience" gift? Like, a gift certificate to a particular restaurant, or a spa day, or something like brewing your own beer or a cooking class?

There are so many good restaurants around here that I'd love to try. I could also desperately use a mani/pedi. LOL bellaluna suggested that I ask my Trumpster ILs for donations to the ACLU.

Last year I asked for donations to either a women's shelter, Planned Parenthood, or the ACLU, with no fucks given

I usually ask for clothes, but even after cleaning out my closet, I totally don't need any. As for what I'm giving, I'll probably get my sister something for the condo that she's closing on this weekend. And I plan on getting my dad a copy of Pete Souza's photo book. I didn't get tickets to the event he's doing here, but there's a book signing next month that I'll try to go to for a signed copy.

We're paying for the rooms for several family members (FI & me for my brother's; FI, me, mom & bro for aunts/uncles, etc.) and def. a gc for his mom for her hair/makeup. Random stuff, mostly. H is getting the full Blu-ray set for Downton Abbey. This sounds random, but H LOVES Downton Abbey, and I think it's the dumbest shit I've ever seen. But a coworker had a duplicate set she was giving away, so score! My dad's getting a vintage map of Montana. He loves maps and Montana. My mother's lost 40 pounds this year, so I'm giving her a gift certificate to Lands' End. I made a tea towel with a 2018 calendar using a fat quarter from this Spoonflower design, which I'll give to my grandmother.

Ugh, my mom asked me for a Christmas list already and I had no idea what to put. I managed to come up with a Yeti (or cheaper brand) tumbler, a new pair of grey flats, gift cards to various restaurants and some Nora Fleming minis to add to my collection. Not my most exciting list.
As for shopping FOR other people...HA. Haven't even thought about it yet.

My SIL asked for the family lists already, but I'm cutting her some slack, since she's due on the 10th of November.
I would love a printer that had wireless printing. I could also use some winter accessories, a gift card for a haircut or to the stores I like to shop at.

I’m the worst of thinking of gift ideas for myself.
I think I’m buying H a google home thing. I should probably do more research on it though, specially seeing as I’m not even sure that’s what it’s called...

I'm asking for some books, new Toms, a couple kitchen things, probably a few other things but I haven't thought about it much.
