Ugh, so I was going to ask this in accountability, but work filters have decided to block that particular thread today. It is so random what threads I am allowed to look at and not look at.
Anyway, my accountability is that I actually got up early again this morning and did day 2 of 30DS. 2 days in a row is a big deal for me - hopefully I can keep the momentum going! I was able to eat breakfast too, which was good.
I ended up over calories yesterday, I just made bad choices and had 2 too many peanut butter cookies. They were delicious though!
My question - how long does it take for exercise to give you the feel-good feeling and not the 'i'm tired as shit and sore' feeling? Because right now I do NOT feel energized, only more tired and, well, sore.

Yea, I am working on the food thing. I tend to under eat calories, and don't eat very quality ones. Water is good for me though I do a pretty good job of that.
@xcalygrl Is that the sugar/sodium on MFP, or is there more I should be paying attention to?

I'd like to second PPs that undereating and not eating "quality" calories will do you in every time. If you're pushing yourself on 30DS (and I haven't done that particular program, though I'm familiar with it), I'm almost certain you will lose more weight/get more toned/feel less sore on 1600 calories of lean protein (chicken, fish, a little red meat for funsies), complex carbs (100% whole wheat bread, quinoa, brown rice, 100% whole wheat spaghetti), and lots of micronutrient-happy fresh or flash frozen fruits and veggies than 1200 calories of "typical American diet", a la fast food, chips, soda, candy, etc, etc. Obviously all the ladies on here have very different diets that they follow, so find something that works for you, but please, make sure you're eating enough. And congrats on day 2!

I don't know that I ever feel like I have a ton of energy from workout out, but I do leave the gym feeling proud of myself for getting it done. If I eat too much sugar, I feel really sluggish in my workouts, like I am telling my body to do stuff, and it is being slow to respond. Are you eating enough protein and veggies?

Thanks Rachel!
I am usually pretty good about protein, but this week hasn't been great. We haven't gotten to the grocery store. Fruits and veggies are hard too, but my work has an awesome salad bar that I usually get for lunch during the week. Dinner is the biggest issue, I know I need to start pre-planning and just make it on Sunday or something.

Well, this is just my personal experience, so don't take it as gospel, but I cannot do high energy workouts like 30DS in the mornings because I ALWAYS feel tired and sore and cranky. So, when I do AM workouts, I know I have to do lighter stuff now.
I will also say that when I did 30DS last time, initially, the soreness part took about 4 or 5 days to go away. After that, I'd be sore for the first day after starting a new level and maybe a wee bit achy on Day 3 of the level, but that's it.
