So, this ends day 3 of our new "lifestyle". H has been under on calories and carbs every day, we survived our first eating out experience and had a very pleasant time, and his blood sugar levels are steadily dropping. Evening level is now under normal and his fasting level has dropped 32 points already.
I'm just so proud of him, because I know how much he hates it right now but he is really sticking to it.

GoneFishing- I didn't get to mention in previous threads, my dad was also just diagnosed, and has gotten himself totally set on watching everything that he's eating and monitoring his levels as well. He has dropped some very quick weight because of it also. Hopefully your H can continue to do well (and not drive you nuts) because of it, best wishes!

That's excellent! I'm sure it's not easy for either of you but it sounds like you have each other for support.

Congrats to your H, stage! The first adjustment period on a drastically new diet is so hard, so good on him for sticking with it, and on you for the support it sounds like you're giving him!

Aw, congrats Stage and Mr. Stage! That's a huge first step, and making it successfully through both the first weekend and the first eating out experience is hard. You're both amazing!
