I'm back! Sort of... The past week and a half has been very challenging for me. After the c-section the doctor tried to tell me I would have to be on bedrest for 2 weeks...I've pretty much blatantly disregarded this, but my activity level is way way down because my incision starts to hurt if i'm up for too long. Right now I am struggling with not overeating. Lack of activity combined with lack of sleep has led to some poor convenience choices that push me over maintenance. I only lost 10lbs out of the 33 I gained, so i'm a bit disappointed and worried the next 23lbs will take forever to come off. I know I pretty much only lurk around these parts, so sorry if it seems I'm overstepping. When you have a C-section, they pump you full of all sorts of fluids, so it's not unusual to be holding onto excess weight. I actually left the hospital 20 lbs heavier than I went in when I had DD. (Though a lot of it was due to complications as well) It can take several weeks for that fluid to leave, so try not to worry too much yet. It's ridiculously frustrating though. Take it easy and you'll be feeling back to yourself in no time. (((Hugs)))

entropicbeauty I wouldn't beat yourself up about it. It'll take some time for the fluids like nsweare . This happened to my bff when she had a c-section. If you increase your water it'll help flush it out. Ditto on the breast feeding if you decide/are able to. I just started here at TH, and enjoying it. I'm not really trying to lose weight (though in another post I talked about gaining a lot really suddenly which was a WTF moment), just trying to tone up and get in better health. I usually go to Zumba 3x a week. I just started mfp and it's really opened my eyes on how many calories I've been consuming; gotta get it in check a bit. When I'm bored I eat.

Hey ladies! Vacation was great, but I should not have stepped on the scale when we got home yesterday. I'm all bloated from the excess food/wine this weekend and need to settle into my routine for a few days before I can really see if I did damage with all that wine tasting. entropicbeauty it took your body 9 months to make that beautiful baby, so of course it's going to take some time to start getting itself back to normal as well. Try not to stress yourself about it, and like PP said the best thing you can do at this point is probably drink a lot of water to flush your system and stay hydrated. Well that and sleep, but I know that suggestion isn't exactly helpful

Hello! entropicbeauty I have never had a baby, but I did have some big life changes recently (ha! like a year ago) and I am still trying to figure out how to incorporate them. I think you are doing well. I injured my finger which means that I don't want to get it dirty or sweaty, soooo my plans to just keep walking (the only thing I can motivate myself to do right now) are delayed. I live in a humid environment, with lately lots of rain, and belong to a dirty gym (I mean that with love, it's a grimy, yet fun, place). That's why I am ruling out exercise, also, I just want to pity myself.
