Someone had been rocking out with us for 3 months today. He is an "adjusted age" of 7 weeks. In that time he has more than tripled his body weight and has grown more than 3 inches. He has been a complete spitfire from when he came into this world screaming - and we love it. He is tiny, but he is mighty. And our little ginger has a smile that lights up a room.

Love reading all of your baby updates and seeing these adorable pics!
Baby G is 7.5 months old now.
She's been a total champ with baby led weaning. Loves meat and sweet potato fries, and mostly everything. She's still scooting backwards and has gotten really fast, but she really prefers to walk holding our hand(s). We got her ears pierced a couple of weeks ago, she did great and she looks freaking adorable. She wakes to nurse 2-3 times at night still but since we cosleep I basically sleep feed her and then pass right back out so I don't mind. She's been on tv! I think I posted a pic of her on here a while ago of her in a Warriors jersey. I posted it on Instagram and tagged channel 7 news, they reposted it on their page, and this week they showed it on the news and apparently used it in a commercial too. I haven't seen it but hopefully I'll catch it. We're still cloth diapering and totally loving it, even though I have to spray her diapers now that she's on solids.
I can't think of anything else....but here are some pics
Flashing for Mardi Gras Beads
Showing Mom and Dad the right way to eat a banana
Showing off her new pierced ears
Her 'excited to see you' face
And a Snickers to fit her personality. H's was Curmudgeon and mine was Drama Mama.

C is 18 months old! I don't know how that happened. We've not made very much progress on the weaning front, mainly because MH has been out of commission on the weekends until recently. She has essentially stopped nursing pretty much during the day. She's picking up more and more words and loves to climb things. Her favorite words are no, mine! Everything is hers. She just got her 9th tooth, and I think more are coming, she's been sleeping horribly. D is 3.5 and while January was an awesome month for him behavior wise, February has started off rough. He's doing well at school and is very imaginative. He has an imaginary friend named baby D. He is obsessed with construction, Paw Patrol and trains. He loves to shovel the snow, and those of you who are FB friends of mine have seen those pictures. We are still working on PT. He has been good with peeing, but poop is another story. Pictures soon.

@sweetmelody11 , I don't think I'd seen a picture of C in a while. I can't believe how big she looks! Thanks! I can't believe it myself. I see the pictures of her as a baby and wonder where my baby went.

@sweetmelody11 - don't stress too much about poop training. It takes much longer than pee! 18 months BFing? That's amazing! You are a rock star! (does she bite? This is my biggest fear. I have a very distracted nurser already, and I have nightmares about him biting when the time comes) Thank you! I didn't think I'd be nursing for this long, D self weaned at about 7 months, so this is new. She bites occasionally. Her thing now is to claw my belly button. It hurts!

@jennylee, I have scratches in my belly button. She will sometimes put her hand in my mouth. It's amazing what kids will do when nursing.

N does this to me too! A lot of times she misses because she's starting to fall asleep, so she just scratches my cheek J scratches me all the time. She can't reach my face yet but my chest looks like I got attacked by a kitten. She'll also sometimes just grab a little fistful of nipple with her tiny babyclaws and dig in. I just winced in pain at that last sentence.

I'm reading these anecdotes, and praying I don't have the same experience as my sister.....younger niece was born with a tooth, fully formed and well above the gum line, that didn't fall out till she was about 4. (another baby tooth showed up in its place).
Sister breastfed. Younger Niece would clamp down hard right before she was done feeding. Every. time. It got to the point where Sister would wince, and Older Niece (2 years old) would toddle over and "scold" her sister, saying "[Younger Niece's Name], no biting!!"

Natal teeth are supposed to be pulled before leaving the hospital. I've seen a few of these cases in newborns. It's standard to offer the procedure but it's considered elective (so you can chose not to), but if I were planning on breastfeeding I would sure as hell have someone yank that thing out!

I guess Sister decided the tooth wouldn't be a problem. I didn't even know about the tooth until we went out to CA for younger niece's christening some months later and Younger Niece gave me a mostly gummy grin. Of course, not having little ones of my own at the time (2007), coupled with my sister's "I'm an OB/GYN, therefore I know everything about anything" complex, and that was not a topic I was going to engage her on

C had her 18 month appointment yesterday. She is 22 lbs 8 oz, and 33 1/2 inches. (I think her height is off) She is now in the 20th percentile for weight. It's been a roller coast with her weight, and I'm glad she's gaining.

@swimmy1988 The tongue tie procedure should be quick and uncomplicated. I hope it solves the problem! That's awesome that he's growing so well though. Keep up the good work, mama!

It's been a roller coast with her weight, and I'm glad she's gaining. So I shouldn't be concerned that my C hasn't broken 20 pounds yet? His doctor says he isn't concerned but I am. He eats all the time. It's hard not to worry, I was concerned, but if your doctor isn't worried, like PPs said, he'll be fine. My C eats a ton too! She put most of the weight on since she's been drinking whole milk.

And C was a tick under 18 pounds at 12 months, which was the lowest percentile she's been in.

@swimmy1988 do you have "Human Milk 4 Human Babies" groups in Canada? We have a FB page for it in MI where people donate their extra frozen milk to people who need it. Might be an option worth considering if you have more than you'll use. I hope clipping the ties works out! I'm sure once he's hungry he'll start to figure it out. I second this suggestion, if you feel comfortable with it. It's an especially valuable resource for premature infants because studies have conclusively shown that exclusive breastmilk feeding lowers the rate of multiple complications. But at the same those mothers usually don't have an adequate supply (volume is low, takes a while to build up, and is limited by significant stress). I have a friend in Toronto who donated her extra supply. I'm not sure which province you're in but here's the link for Ontario: www.milkbankontario.ca/facts.html

I hope the clippings help C's latch issues @swimmy1988. I just found a cheerio from yesterday afternoon in my bra. At least it hadn't been chewed?? Finding food in one's bra is not normal? Lately I find something in my bra almost daily. I am prepping myself for life as a mom.

I drop food in my bra all the time. Even pre-pregnancy. Call it a combination of being large-chested and an extremely messy eater. Shaking the crumbs out once or twice a day is routine practice for me.
