For those of you who are interested in that kind of thing. Baby kwith is looking good, still kicking along at 157 heartbeats per minute, and was cutely hiccuping throughout the entire ultrasound. Yay!

@swimmy1988, we'll go back at 20 weeks for a second ultrasound - the 20 week one both can usually show gender and can do a general anatomy check to make sure everything is coming in correctly. I'm at 13 weeks right now - this ultrasound was part of a first trimester screening to check for chromosome issues. I guess that's important too and all, but I was just really excited to see the baby! bwils35, you can see hiccups! It's the coolest thing. At first I thought it was a glitch in the ultrasound or something the technician was doing. It sort of just looked like a little jumping bean.

Yay! So exciting!
And baby hiccups sound so adorable.
Also, I like the picture of you using your pup as a pillow. So cute!

lovelyheather, thanks on the picture! Our dog gets super complacent after a good workout / dog park adventure, and after DH got the picture of me napping on her, we got a matching on of him using her as a pillow. I forgot they existed until I was poking through photos today looking for new ones to update my profile. I've attached for viewing pleasure:

@snoopycac, we do plan to find out the gender. DH really wants a boy, so I figure finding out early will either give him time to celebrate or adjust to the idea of a girl. I mean, he'd love a girl, but I think he just wouldn't know what to do with her as much as he would a boy.

We're thinking Benjamin for a boy and Annabelle for a girl. Though the girl name changes every once in a while, so that's not definite yet. Either way, we're excited, and now that we're out of the first trimester I feel much more relaxed!
