What is everyone's plans (if they have any yet) for father's day gifts from your kids to dad? DH says I don't have to get him one, but I still want to get him something. I know he doesn't want a mug or anything that he wouldn't use or couldn't display.

@daubachsgirl23 -d&d, warhammer 40k, table top and video games, sushi. He already has photos of her with a photo frame for his desk at work. I know this will be easier when she can color/draw or be crafty.

My kids are older, but I had them hold up DAD last year and framed the pictures, he has that in his office. We also made him a mug and gave him a t shirt, I'm not sure what we are doing this year.

If we're on schedule for delivery, Father's Day will start DH's last week of leave home with me and Chipmunchkin. Maybe I'll let him sleep in, that's a nice present!! We do already have a "my first father's day" onesie ready to go- perhaps I'll manage to get a photo of the two of them ready to go in advance, frame it nicely, for him to enjoy at work. We'll likely be out of frozen meals by that point, so a fresh cooked dinner, perhaps steaks on the grill? would go over well. My dad's birthday falls around father's day- this year it's the same day. In the past (pre netflix), I've been able to get him the latest season of a tv show he enjoys for whichever one came first, bday or father's day, and then on the second day, teach him yet again how to work the DVD player. He's already excited about his "early" birthday/father's day present- getting to meet Chipmunchkin.

I'm trying to resist the urge to do anything over-the-top since he didn't plan anything for Mother's Day.
I'll probably make him breakfast and maybe we'll go to the breweries in town. As far as a gift, maybe I'll frame a picture of him and gianna and get him a #1 dad mug or shirt or something. Guess I should start looking.

@daubachsgirl23 - I tried the finger painting. But I used to much paint. But now I know better for next time.
