Maybe the monitor isn't great for you? Are you still temping?
Or - you could just get busy every other day!!! That would make sure you're covered no matter when you O!

CD18. My doctor's appointment went well. I lost 14 pounds since last years appointment and they were happy to see that. My pap smear went well and she said everything looked good. I won't know the results right away.
She gave me paperwork to get tested for some blood work. The tests are progesterone, TSH, and T4. The progesterone has to be done 20-22 days after the cycle so I am going Friday morning. I don't work until noon and the lab opens at 6:30am and is walk ins only. The doctor gave me paperwork to get the hysterosalpingography/ dye test, but that cannot be done until 3-5 days after my menstrual cycle. (hopefully I get pregnant before that can be scheduled) She also wrote out a rx for DH to get a semen analysis. I know he cannot take anytime off before July 1, 2015, but at least he can go as soon as he can.
The doctor was really happy that I have been temping and been knowledgable about this process. For that I want to thank everyone on here since I get some of the best information, books to read, or websites to go to due to the wonderful people here.

We had the option of just dropping his sample off. He ended up going in for it, but he could have just dropped it off so as to not miss work. Depends on the day, usually anywhere between 7:30am-6pm, but on Mondays he works until 7:30 and one Tuesday a month he starts at 4am or 5am for food bank. But he does get comp. time, so hopefully he could use that to drop it off. Thanks everyone. I signed up for the hospital/doctor's online site, too, I have a feeling I will be stalking that after I get the blood work.

LMC Are you by any chance using a new/ different pack of test sticks? I also used the monitor and temped, and what I found was that with one pack (that was expired unbeknownst to me), I never got highs, just low to peak, another, I got like 5 high days before peak (H and I were exhausted ) and the last pack, I'd get one or two high days. I wasn't sure if it was the monitor 'learning' my cycles or what, but the switch was always when I used a new pack of test strips. Also, my temp signs were often in conflict with the monitor. In fact, the month I actually did get pregnant, I never got a peak at all and my temps were all over the place. I was convinced I hadn't o'ed at all.

I like the look of that chart LMC! ETA: I think the only reason you're showing dashed crosshairs are the two inconsistent temps, but it looks like a clear O to me! QFT. I agree with @jennylee Oh and I got my blood drawn today and I should have my results back by next week. AKA I will login at least once a day starting Monday.

Here's me getting all scientifical on you LMC... You BD'd the two days prior to your likely O, as well as the day after. Sperm can live inside you for an average of 72 hours, but can actually linger for up to 7 days (those ones are pretty weak at that point, and have low motility, but have been found just hanging around. Try not to think too much about this.) So really, you have a good basis. Your egg is viable for approximately 24 hours, and even if the sperm from before O missed it, you still may have caught the "tail end" by BDing the day after. While it's ideal to have the sperm waiting on the egg, it's not the only way. I fear that the Sunday BD may have been a lot of dead guys. haha Because don't they start to get wonky in DH after X number of days of not BDing? After my test, we didn't have sex for a few days because I was cramping, spotting, etc. Theeeeen we went out of town and I got drunk and then sick. So for Sunday's BD, we hadn't had sex since.... shit. I don't know. The day I made my appointment for the HSG, because I was told we weren't allowed. so It had been probably at least 10 days. I have heard that before. Not sure if that is true, but DH will masturbate 2-3 times in one day a few days before we will more likely have sex after my period. It gives him plenty of time to get good swimmers and it gets out the bad ones. There is just a good chance that 4-5 days we know I O that we may not have sex for weeks and cleaning it out seems like a good idea to us. IMO, I am not a doctor nor do I know if this is at all a fact.

I'm no expert but can share what I've learned on the subject of spermies which is similar to what @jennylee shared. They are always being produced and it is supposedly good for TTC to give them a good 24+ hours to "replenish", hence the BDing every other day. My understanding is that this is more about sperm count, not quality, to increase the chances of a happy sperm reaching the egg.
My iPad spell check is now automatically changing sperm to spermie.

For some of us that is too much. I am so happy that I don't have to have sex now until next month.

I just got an invitation to my cousins 4th of July "gender reveal BBQ." I know I'm just in a bad headspace right now and I am really happy for her but all I can think is.. Why does everything have to be such a production? No she shouldn't not do something because I'm not pregnant yet, but I just don't get it. We'll be in Vegas anyway so I'll be missing it. I agree with you and I'm NOT in that bad headspace. My SIL threw herself a gender reveal birthday party last month. This was for her 2nd baby. Her first isn't even a year old yet and we did the shower and gender reveal thing the first time around. It's all just so AWish.

I already got my test results from yesterday. My T4 Free is 1.30 and the TSH is 1.280 I think I have low progesterone and I am scared. It was .6 and I got the test done on the day I either O'd on or the day after. It seems low since the number for lateral phase is 1.0 - 21.0. I am scared that I am going through menopause. DH is not home and it is too late to call my mom.

snippet17 - I don't understand any of those numbers, why do you think that?? When can you talk to your doctor? Also it seems odd that they'd have you run the progesterone test on a random day. I was told not to come in until 7 days after a positive OPK. Why did they pick that day? Hugs your way and I hope it's nothing. They picked days 20-22 of my cycle. I don't have the sheet with me stating why that day of my cycle. I had to hand it in when I got the blood drawn and didn't think of copying that sheet. That sucks that you had to wait 7 days after you had a positive OPK, I know that wouldn't work for me since I need to ask at least 2 weeks for anytime off. For the TSH the normal range is 0.400 - 4.000 and Free T4 normal range is 0.7 - 1.9, which are both good for me. and for the progesterone it is PRE-PUBERTY <0.3 FOLLICULAR PHASE <1.0 MID-CYCLE 0.5 - 1.7 LUTEAL PHASE 1.0 - 21.0 MID-LUTEAL PHASE 6.0 - 24.0 POST-MENOPAUSAL <1.0 ON CONTRACEPTIVES <1.0 PREGNANT FEMALE: FIRST TRIMESTER 9.0 - 33.0 SECOND TRIMESTER 30.0 - 50.0 THIRD TRIMESTER 83.0 - 160.0

One of H's cousins suggested we do this. It received a big fat "nope" as a response from me. I had zero desire to do a big "thing" about the gender. The people that I cared about knowing - I called and told them. Done.

DH is not home and it is too late to call my mom. So your thyroid numbers are in the "normal" range. Progesterone is low - but that is an easy remedy. They can put you on a progesterone supplement post-O to remedy that problem.
